Urban Decay Naked Skin Foundation

Post by lyssa123 »

I bought this foundation about 2 weeks ago and I'm obsessed! It blends really well, looks quite natural, and builds easily. The only issue I've found is it makes me break out! Has this happened to anyone else? I'm trying to figure out if my skin just needs to get used to it since I haven't changed my foundation in over 3 months. It could also be because that time of the month is coming (tmi, but we all know how bad some people can break out right before).

So, what are your thoughts on this foundation and if anyone has broken out because of it please let me know!

It has never broken me out that I can tell. But it depends on how sensitive your skin is I think. My skin isn't easily irritated for the most part although I do get a random bump here or there. Have you changed your skincare and makeup routine in any way other than this foundation? If not, I'd say wait and see it it continues after the time of the month. If it doesn't settle down after that, I'd switch to something else and see if it clears up.

I've never really used it but my friends have tried it. Long story short, it gives a very HD effect but seems like it's really easy to cake up. None have particular flaky skin either. However, they did note that the blends very easily and the pigmentation is great.

I wear .5 in Naked Skin. My other matches in foundation include Chanel VA in 10 Beige (12 Beige Rose is too dark/pink), Bobbi Brown Skin in Alabaster, and the old Tom Ford foundation in Alabaster (Traceless Liquid, but it's been discontinued.) I'd describe my skin as NW10-ish in MAC terms.

1 is more yellow; 0.5 is more pink. I didn't notice one colour to be any or much darker than the other.

They aren't THAT different. I *personally* like my foundation a little yellow because it conceals my redness better and doesn't make me look as washed out in my opinion. Sephora has a great exchange policy, so I would buy it there.

I wanted this so much and may give my sample another try
When the lady first applied it (shade 3.0) it looked amazing. Wandered around for an hour and it still looked fabulous.
Got home; looked like I had fake tanned something offensive. HOWEVER flash photo? No orange. Some lights no orange. Some lights and no flash. Orange. What?
Tried it again the next day using fingers to press it in and it didn't look orange anytime so it may be the way the girl applied it
However a day or two later had the biggest blocked pore on my nose. Easy enough to extract but the gunk inside was huge! Have not had this in over a year! Coincidence?

I am considering buying this foundation, I use the Naked concealer and it's amazing. But a few months ago I bought the Naked Skin BB Cream and it made me break out like crazy, so I'm a bit scared...

Id ask for sample of it before purchasing it.
I am a huge fan of it tho, so I hope it works for your skin!
