I just found her and she is super talented and I think deserves more subscribers but the way she talks bothers me it's like she talks in a infomercial kinda voice and really emphasizes everything she says but I just skip over her intro.

I think she's talented, I like her videos (minus the repetitive rehearsed intro) BUT I thinks it's incredibly stupid that she posted a review of her own brush line. Like, of course you're going to love them....how about someone that doesn't get the money from the sales does a review, then I'll (maybe) believe what I hear about them.

Agreed. She has amazing talent but the way she talks sometimes seems forced, disingenuous. There are certain moments where she lets down her guard and seems to talk more real and not so gimmicky...I like her more then. She also has a habit of trying to remind everyone that she graduated from high school early, didn't fit in in high school, and is self-taught

dont get me wrong. Graduating early is a great achievement, not fitting in can suck, being self-taught shows natural artistic ability ..but its like she has to remind everyone of this...all the time, in case we forgot. It's like she feels she has to prove herself or validate her worth continuously and it can get a bit redundant.

She is ABSOLUTELY gorgeous and has an amazing talent as a face/bodypainter just wish she'd let go of the voice act and such. She should just act natural and let her amazing work speak for her.

i like her looks and her vids are entertaining and FAST which i like.. but i hate how she talks. it didnt bother me at first.. but video after video after video it starts to sound very fake because its the same car salesman commercial voice every singe time. especially the whole... "Check out my facebook page and LIKE it... (insert fake smile with a thumbs up)... ALSO, dont forget to subscribe to my youtube channeeeeeeelll... "

I agree with the voice thing it bugs the crap out of me! I couldn't find a page on her under Trash a Guru so I don't wanna be too mean to the people that like her. Does she work for Mehron or something? She uses A LOT of their products and I never see the FTC disclaimer saying that she was sent products. I mean if she likes that brand cool I was just wondering.

Unfortunately those Mehron products are super expensive, after seeing them in action in her videos I thought about getting a few myself but meeeh
Is she a full time Make-up artist? Because I don't recall seeing any pictures where she worked on a client, so I am not sure. ^^

I really respect what that's she's trying to raise awareness about diabetes and you can't argue she isn't true to herself. She just does her own thing

I didn't like her "deeper" voice at first but I guess that's how she really talks. Still...not really use to it

I believe Lex is a skin specialist (her day job) - she's hit a million subscribers and she's totally overwhelmed! She's amazing and does lots of charity work for diabetes awareness x

I first heard about Lex through WatchMojo and I was intrigued. I really like her tutorials. My favorite is the Frankenstein one, particularly for the intro. I will admit, she does sound like Jenna Marbles (who I also like but I see why some of y'all don't) at parts but I don't really mind it. All in all, very talented guru who more than deserves her million plus subs and then some.

I'm honestly really surprised that she's not more popular. Even though some people don't like the way she talks or presents herself in videos, she's really good at what she does. Generally, gurus just recycle the same looks, but Lex also does non conventional looks (with the body paint and stuff) and it sets her apart.
