I don't understand how she is considered funny. I feel like she tries to come off as a mentally handicapped person and that's why people think she's funny? I don't know, I just don't get it at all. Maybe I'm too old or something, I just do not find her comedy appealing.

If she kept Miranda like she wanted in the beginning, More of a vain believable girl and not a silly over exaggerated child, It could be a funny character. One video is funny and then it's the same thing over and over again.

And the uncle thing being innocent is bullshit. She thought it was hilarious that Miranda had a creeper uncle but i bet one of her agents told her to say it was a child like innocence so people don't get pissed of when she makes those shitty jokes.

I was really happy for her to swing this gig but I kind of feel like it was her big break and she/Jimmy/Jerry blew it for her. I don't know if the audience knew who she was, because at 1:00 she does a very "Miranda" things and the audience doesn't seem to know to laugh until Jerry does.

I'm also disappointed that Jimmy Fallon only referred to her as "Miranda Sings" with no reference whatever to Colleen Ballinger or even that Miranda is a character.

Do we know if she was on the show beforehand? I didn't watch the show, just the pictionary video from youtube but it would be nice if they had introduced her, told the audience that she was a character and possibly played the last little bit of comedians in cars where Colleen is taking off the make up and explaining Miranda to Jerry. You cannot expect everyone to know who she is but I would hope people realize that she's playing a character.

Update: Reese Witherspoon is on Fallon right now. She mentioned Miranda (it seemed like she was already aware of her, but I'm not sure) and Jimmy mentioned that she's just a character. A day late, but it's something?

I love her too. She's built a career for herself that is successful and funny. Her humor isn't for everyone and that's all good. There are some things that I don't find funny all the time that she does but her latest Miranda Sings video of "Expectation vs. Reality" was quite hilarious. I hope she has continued success.

Pardon me for the double post. I just wanted to say that I'm excited for Colleen that her career has really taken off. I know a lot of YTubers have recently put out books, but it's pretty impressive that she can put a book out as her Miranda character and actually reach the #2 position for pre-sale on Barnes & Noble. I don't know what the status is on Amazon but she is seemingly bound for real success. It's really cool to see all of this unfold.

Went to one of her shows here in Australia and HOLY crap. I have a lot of respect for Colleen. I'm sure most of you have seen her shows on YouTube, but seeing it live was fantastic. She puts so much effort into every single performance and even though a lot of people don't find her that funny(me included), it was actually hilarious in person.

Touring the way she does and performing that show every night... wow. I don't know how she manages. It was very surreal seeing her in person!
