She's just became a complete asshole of a person and did a 360 turn personality-wise. I've always given her shit but at the very least I respected her for doing her own thing and not doing what other "beautygurus" were doing, even if that meant having less subscribers than she could have had. Now she has turned into the most basic white Insta/YouTube girl imaginable.Jezahtea wrote: ↑Wed Aug 03, 2022 10:16 am20220802_182420.jpg
Why does she think this half fake eyelash look is a good one? Some people with naturally full lashes could probably pull it off but she definitely doesn't. Instead it just looks like some sort of caterpillar has landed on the outer half of her eyelash. It's weird.
Also her constant insistence on talking about "eating healthy" (her narrow definition of that being salad, plain chicken and fruit) and insistence that she didn't just eat pasta the entire time she was in Italy, that she got tired of it etc is pretty cringe. I was watching a couple of her vlogs on the couch and my husband overheard them, and even he commented "why does she talk about eating healthy so much?". Kind of reminds me of the super toxic diet culture which was so pervasive years ago, where it was some sort of virtue signaling to talk about how "healthy" you eat. Like just eat food, no need to defend your food choices or quantify them by following it up later with a shot of a fruit bowl and green juice you had.

Re: The Orange Snowflake - Part 7
This channel has changed. I watched her back when she was doing a lot of foundation videos and just more beauty content in general. We both had acne at the time so those videos were very helpful. She always threw in the occasional lifestyle, travel, or d.y.i. video, but I actually remember liking those. I enjoy that type of thing depending on how it's done. Now 90% of her content is "Luxury Apartment Hunting" or traveling to a new country every other week. I'm glad she can afford all of that, but I rarely click her videos anymore because they're in no way helpful or relatable. Most people I know are struggling to adapt to the rising cost of living right now.
Even right before her nomad series, she just seemed to do nothing but order takeout, make some frozen block of psudeo vegan something or other in her air fryer, curl her hair, go out for a 7 dollar coffee, and shill shit from Amazon. It just became so boring and repetitive, and as pointed out in the post before mine by johnny0994, definitely "basic white girl" esque. I held on for a while hoping her content would get better after covid died down a bit, but now I can't even remember the last time I clicked on an upload. I've even heard she's been talking about investing and crypto now. Hasn't it come out that crypto is basically a scam?

Re: The Orange Snowflake - Part 7
Her current views for this whole nomad thing are all just from people living vicariously through her. I was one of those in the past year or so, but the constant travel was depressing to watch when I haven't gone anywhere (like as in a legit vacation) since 2017. One comment in her latest "Back in America" errands video spoke of wanting to someday do something like what Taylor's been doing, and I'm so tempted to respond with snark that you need a fat bank account and little to no responsibility to do this.mooncrystalpower wrote: ↑Mon Aug 08, 2022 12:26 pmThis channel has changed. And at some point, every OG or post-OG beauty guru declines into this semi-lifestyle vlog, non-stop haul/Amazon sponsor kind of content. It's the same shit on repeat and of little to no substance. Taylor at least has the traveling thing going for her, but in and of itself, gets boring quick because it's just SO out of touch with most people right now.

Re: The Orange Snowflake - Part 7
Exactly this. Her channel has gotten so unrelatable. I don't think now is the time that people to want to see someone jet setting across the globe, spending all her time eating, shopping, and sightseeing. It does get old. I haven't watched several of her past videos because everywhere she goes, she just posts the same. She keeps claiming to not be into any "touristy" stuff, yet she literally is the cliche tourist. Her need to constantly want to be extra is grating. I've mentioned it before, but she acts like she is now the authority expert of all things in a city just because she lived there for a month as a tourist? Yeah no.

She is SO inarticulate, it's hard to listen to any of her videos. Her thoughts on Barcelona? "Yeah man, I can totally see myself living there." Ok WHY THOUGH?? She contributes nothing to any conversation.

Re: The Orange Snowflake - Part 7
Interesting read on those comments. I had the same feeling a few posts up. The nomad videos were just not it for me. It was the same ole thing in every video, just in a different country. Nothing exciting, just her eating around and visiting a few places we've all seen elsewhere. And her constant need to remind us that she isn't a tourist was aggravating. I noticed looking at the thumbnails, the nomad videos don't bring in anywhere near the views her makeup videos bring, so seems others feel the same way, especially in this economy.

I wear a size 6 (US) and visually looking at those shoes they definitely do not look smaller than my shoes. When I put my hand under my shoe it covers a good 2/3 or more of the sole (and I have small hands) not only the center like Taylor's is doing.
I get camera angles can make things look different than they are IRL but consistently Taylor has claimed to wear super tiny shoes that do not in any way look that small. It's like she has this obsession with claiming how unique she is in every single way, including exaggerating having unusually small feet

She *is* obsessed with being small and telling us how small she is.Jezahtea wrote:I'm sorry but am I the only one who thinks there is NO WAY these are size 5 (US) shoes that fit more like a 4 1/2 (US)?

Most of the things she buys are ugly. I still don't understand what she does with all the crap she orders. She's constantly moving so where does all the stuff go. Does she just ship it all to her parents? Like, how many clothes, etc. is she travelling with? How much do her suitcases weigh? I don't understand how this all work out.

Does anyone know which building she used to live in before she became a "nomad"? I'm talking about the high rise one she rented out for a year. I'd love to know roughly how much she paid.

Re: The Orange Snowflake - Part 7
Anyone else find it incredibly cringy in her vlog from August 10th when she was talking about her feelings on Barcelona, and she started it by saying "I was there for a week and a half... Italy I was like I'm kinda ready to move on, but Barcelona no"
Like I don't think she understands how entitled she sounds. I just feel like there's so many people out there right now that would sell their kidney to be able to even go to Italy for a week and experience it, and the way she acted about it really rubs me the wrong way. Beyond it also being tacky to crap on an entire country or city, it's like a repeat of her crapping on Boston in that sense.
My very Italian husband had a theory as to why she disliked Italy, and he thinks it's because with her fashion sense and personality I doubt she got the response she was expecting from all those hot Italian men she talked about

Re: The Orange Snowflake - Part 7
She is so entitled. The way she talked about Atlanta too...."I think people are really sleeping on Atlanta" and "I think in a few years it has the potential to grow". Like wtf is she even talking about??? Nobody has been sleeping on Atlanta, people have been moving there consistently for years, and visiting it. And it's already a huge metropolitan city that's been growing like crazy for years. She acts like it's some hidden-away gem that she discovered that nobody else has, so she is doing us a favor by telling us about it. Ugh get over yourself. I've been there multiple times over the past 10 years. Maybe if she ventured out further, past all the really spread out all-white suburbs, she would see what a huge metropolitan it is. I swear she acts like if she didn't "discover" it or say something about it, it must not have existed prior to her going there. That is the definition of entitled.Jezahtea wrote: ↑Thu Aug 18, 2022 12:26 pmAnyone else find it incredibly cringy in her vlog from August 10th when she was talking about her feelings on Barcelona, and she started it by saying "I was there for a week and a half... Agreed. She just has to be so unique in every way. I really doubt she is all that small. Short yes, but small, no. She constantly needs to remind us that she buys extra small size everything, but I call cap on that.CatsMeow wrote: ↑Thu Aug 18, 2022 4:50 amShe *is* obsessed with being small and telling us how small she is.Jezahtea wrote:20220817_160008.jpg

Re: The Orange Snowflake - Part 7
When she first started all this Nomad stuff, she said she either sent stuff to her parents for storage, or kept it in an apartment that she owns but wasn't using. So its going to one of those two places. How much you wanna bet after all this is over, she's just gonna end up going back to Seattle to live.johnny0994 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 18, 2022 8:18 amMost of the things she buys are ugly. Yup, not gonna say the name, but around 8k/mo. BUT BUT BUT YOU GUYS! She was able to NeGoTiATe because covid and since she's a SuPeR SmArT businesswoman™ she's able to write off a portion square footage on her rent through her LLC.johnny0994 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 18, 2022 8:25 amDoes anyone know which building she used to live in before she became a "nomad"? I'm also fairly certain this is why she wants to live outside of the US, because privacy laws here absolutely suck....but also, you literally vlog your life for a living so IDK.
