I’m literally sick from the video about daisy.

I have been leaving comment after comment for over a year and half that they need to go see the orthopedic specialist for her. I even literally googled one and PUT THE LINK in the video. It actually seems like they did take her to the one I suggested near Detroit, at a really good teaching hospital.

I’m literally disgusted they let that poor dog suffer for a few YEARS like that and only responding that their vet said daisy wasn’t in any pain, which was obviously not true if you just simply looked at the dog since she couldn’t walk.

And now they left it so long that there was nothing to be done.

I don’t want to criticize their decision to put her down because I know that is probably an agonizing decision, but on the other hand it didn’t seem like she had zero quality of life. She was alert and seemed pretty happy and was eating. To me that doesn’t say a dog that is suffering, but that’s just my opinion. I actually am in the same boat, I have a 12 year old Pomeranian who has almost the exact same issues, she can get around a bit but spends most her days lounging in her temperpedic bed. Every vet visit I ask about quality of life and the vet immediately says, nah, she’s happy, she’s alert, she loves her food, she’s good. And I can’t help but think they should have tried a few things with daisy. There’s injections for arthritis that help rebuild the joints. I dunno I just was so upset they just were like “ok have to put her down 🤷🏼‍♀️“ and then moved right along with their lives.

I think they have too many dogs and never paid attention to the poms once they got Dax/Tucker and then Toby/Bean. It's like the poms and Shaggy got pushed aside. The only one who really seemed to care about the poms is Asha so I'm wondering how she's doing right now. Being that she's a teenager, I didn't expect her to raise the issue with Candi but I'm sure she's upset.

Oh 100% those dogs were ignored. Just by her reaction to having to put daisy down shows she doesn’t seem too bothered, not like when the yorkie died. I just wish I could have take daisy a few years ago and gave her the attention she needed. She was completely neglected in terms of care and just plain attention. They just let her rot away in her bed alone. Just gross.

I wouldn’t be surprised if part of why they decided to put her down so suddenly was so they didn’t have to worry about leaving her on vacation. I know it’s never easy to put an animal to sleep and I don’t doubt that they loved her, but it also made me upset that she had all of those issues they didn’t know about. People have been commenting for SO long saying that Daisy’s issues were more than arthritis or “being lazy” and they always just got defensive about it. It took them a long time to actually go to that specialist, just saying she was lazy and not in any pain at all when clearly she had been suffering for years. This is exactly why you don’t have 7 dogs! I don’t care how much you love them or that you’re home all the time with that - that’s just too many to care for, ESPECIALLY when 3 of those dogs are seniors. I know they love all of their dogs but the Poms have very obviously been shoved to the side ever since they got the Goldens and Yorkies. I’m just really shocked they never inquired about Daisy’s breathing issues or why she was losing hair. Those are massive red flags that need to be looked into. Ugh. Honestly I think she’s better off now that she will no longer suffer, but I do wonder how much the upcoming vacation weighed on their decision. I wonder if they would have tried to keep her comfortable and live for a bit longer if they weren’t going to Cancun.

Omg the lazy comment, I totally forgot about that. I commented all over that say she is NOT lazy and you need to bring her to a specialist with a link to where to go. A vet even commented saying that is wasn’t laziness. Her vet that she goes to is incompetent and he hold blame for not caring for daisy either.

I do hope she feels incredibly guilty for how she treated daisy. The dog was a living breathing being, and to just ignore her health issues for over a year is unbelievable. They literally only took her to vet once they noticed she basically couldn’t walk AT all according to her latest video. Makes me sick.

If anything I hope this situation will change how they treat Shaggy and Pippa going forward. Senior dogs need tons of care and attention and you have to pay close attention to their health. You can’t just get cute new puppies every year and then neglect the needs of your older dogs. Hopefully this also has showed them to not go out and get yet another puppy now that Daisy is gone. Dogs aren’t accessories.

Unfortunately I don’t think it has taught them anything. They ignored the needs of a dog who needed some advanced care for a few years despite plenty of people pointing it out to them. But I do hope you’re right.

It really rubs me the wrong way, Candi posting about their vacation two days after announcing Daisy's passing. Like, I know we don't see everything and I wouldn't want to accuse them of not caring when going through this - but their reaction is nowhere near what it was when Tori died. I know Tori was younger and it was unexpected, but still, they just seem so unbothered by it. I just hate how they pick favorites with their dogs. I understand that some owners will have a special bond with a certain pet, but each pet should still be loved, cared for, and treated equally. I agree that they probably will use this as an excuse to run out and get another dog. I am still really angry about them getting the goldens. It was totally an impulse buy on Candi's part, when everyone knew what she wanted was Yorkies. Instead, she went running out and got the exact opposite. Lets face it, her and Ken are not cut out to be owners of big, energetic, athletic dogs like that. Those poor dogs get no exercise and are bored out of their minds, especially now that everyone is all preoccupied with the Yorkies.

I think that’s why days later I’m still really bothered by them putting daisy down. I think it’s because it was obvious they didn’t really favor her and seemed to just have moved right along. I have Pomeranians, so I have a special place in my heart for the breed and I literally will be in bed depressed for days when one of mine passes. I was really bothered when they were ignoring her health needs and tried to advocate for daisy in the comments, and so I guess I feel guilty I couldn’t make a difference for that poor baby and then she was just put down so her family could go on vacation.

I just wish they would have given her to a Pom rescue to receive the car she needed the last years instead of forcing the poor thing to jump down stairs when she couldn’t even walk. Remember that? She said the vet said daisy was being “lazy” and to make her go down the steps herself. I remember commenting that the dog can barely walk, how would you like to be forced to jump down stairs? Now come to find out the poor thing was riddled with arthritis in her front legs too, and was probably so painful going down stairs. Crushes my heart what that poor baby went through and the owners did nothing to ease it for her.

I really hope you guys are wrong and they do NOT get another dog. I’m one second away from reporting them because in their city they are allowed 4 dogs MAX. I looked it up last years and know what town they live in, it’s not hard to figure out.

report them. the way they treat those dogs is horrible. throw in they keep those two cats locked in a bedroom practically 24/7. never sat right with me the way Dander and Ivy are contained to Karli’s room and how they say they’re good pet owners because they let them out every once in a while.

Ken sounds like he's having a rough time with her loss, Candi on the other hand could care less

Omg i thought i was the only one who noticed that because no one seems to comment about it. Dander and Ivy are literally contained to Karli’s tiny room 24/7 i highly doubt they ever let those poor cats out. Cats should never be confined to that small of spaces for their whole lives. I’m sure they’d just make a comment about how they wouldn’t “work well” with the dogs but they’ve had those cats for years now and have more than enough time to integrate them among the other animals. Honestly someone should report them. I truly don’t think all the animals get the attention and care they need. The proof is in the videos.

Just in time for their Cancun vacation, Michigan covid cases are on a surge, almost as bad as December. Are they able to handle it Ken? God the complete and udder stupidity of these people is unimaginable, but according to miss candi it’s just nursing homes who have people dying, because those people don’t matter right? Both Ken and Candi have a higher likelihood of severe sickness you’d think they’d take it more seriously. It’s gonna take them getting it for it to be serious for them, but maybe even not if they only got it mildly. Ken saying how you have to just do “what’s right for your family” is so selfish, your not gonna die if you don’t go to Cancun Ken get over yourself.

They could have done the same thing they did last year and rent a van to go somewhere in the United States for vacation. Instead they endanger themselves to go somewhere you probably don't have to wear a mask. I just looked up the covid cases for the Cancun area and they're trending down right now, but during college spring break they were spiking

yeah i just checked the cdc website and they highly don’t advise visiting mexico, even if fully vaccinated. i’m sure cdc isn’t a reliable enough source for them though🙄

Pretty sure it's the site issues that made this thread dead, this is the first time I've been able to make a post in forever. Not much has been going with OFN either though. Not sure if it was discussed already but Chase and Asha announced that they are renting a house instead of an apartment, which we'd already pretty much guessed. Still haven't explained anything about how the opportunity 'came to them'.
Candi kept making Instagram stories about 'huge fights' and tons of drama on their vacation, but wouldn't say what it was about. Lol, idk what they have to fight and be dramatic about on a luxury vacation like that.
I'm curious what is up with Blake. Haven't seen or heard of him for a long time. Did he move out already? Is he still in contact with them? Just weird that they were making videos giving us updates and tours of his new place and now just nothing... unless I missed something.

I also wondered what “the big fight” was that Candi alluded to. I’m guessing it was between her and Ken although I’m sure we’ll never know. Someone asked on a recent video if Blake was still moving out, and Candi responded saying that it all kind of fell apart after they couldn’t agree on the last house. So I guess that’s not happening now. That sucks for Blake. Hopefully he can find something. And Asha said in today’s video that they personally know the person they will be renting the house from, but she wouldn’t say who for “privacy reasons”. I don’t think any other apartment/rental would have accepted them since they are young without regular jobs and established credit, so they’re lucky they are able to do this. It sounds like it’s a 3 bedroom house from today’s video. I really do hope it works out for them. I’d never root against them, it’s just worrisome because Chase is so immature and I don’t know what Asha would do if their relationship went sour since it doesn’t seem like she would be willing to move back home due to whatever toxic situation is going on there. It’s just scary that they rely on YouTube as income because that’s so fleeting. Life is very expensive. Maybe this will make Chase grow up and they’ll thrive. I hope so.
