I think our anger and frustration comes from expecting Trisha to act like an even somewhat normal and decent person, which she's not. And although people can change, I don't think she will. One reason is because her behavior has always gotten her what she wants- attention (good OR bad- it's all the same to her), and material things. Her mother always indulged her, so she learned that her tantrums work. I'm not even sure that she wants a husband/home/children, because those things take a lot of work and sacrifice.
