After watching the video I think the pallet was originally named Royal Blood as we speculated but after reading up on GG he changed the name and called it generic. Yet everything in the collection has a royal feel to not not a lust.. lol

I agree. Royal blood makes sense with the purple and crowns and shit. Tacky but at least it makes sense.

And I’m a huge fan of velvet but it is entirely impractical for makeup packaging, it will never get clean and just end up being caked in dust and pigment.

The stans are reaching. They’re now trying to claim that Nazi Jeffree is in fact “Yuki Damon” because Yuki made a song called Lipstick Nazi in 2012 to rip off Jeffree. The irony is that the stans say Yuki is known for ‘copying Jeffree’, but that point literally proves where Yuki got it from. Jeffree had done it long before in 2005.

I hate velvet, the texture makes me shudder. So many palettes have velvet packaging like the original naked palette and most of abh palettes. I imagine they'd get dirty so fast and attract lint and hairs like crazy.

And nobody but jeffree likes chunky over the top straight up glitter highlighters.

Well yeah, duh, Purple! I was right. The color of the packaging, the crown (purple is the color of royalty) and yeah. And hello random red shade, wtf?

I think he said it's a "pure pigment highlighter" which nobody wants because it would be completely unwearable besides halloween or going to a rave.

holy crap, his hand was completely stained after swatching those eyeshadows. people are going to go ham on their palettes and all the stans' eyes will look like hemorrhoids very soon.

did anyone even like "the gloss" when it came out? they're either a weird color or they're too transparent. what a waste of time and money those are.

Damn though. Is there a dupe for that Executioner shade? That's the only one in the palette I don't have something similar for and I really did do a double take.

I was literally dying when he rubbed it on his chest LOL it looked like a glitter stick I used to have from claire's but MORE patchy somehow.

I hope 2020 is the year we leave glitter glue on the face behind.

That highlight is merely four bucks cheaper than the palette. I cannot.

This palette could've been fine, if it had followed up on the idea behind its title! The words like BLOOD, LUST, and ROYAL they scream deep, dark, and lush! Not that poor unicorny excuse of a shade history. Like, why? Colours are not bad, I liked the lavender one, Dungeon, Vile serpent, Executioner are pretty, but others just don't belong to the idea of purple royalty. This is more like 'my little pony' than 'blood lust'. And that scarlet shade? Wtf even is this? It looks like an expired watered-down tomato juice. So out of the whole palette there's like five shades that contribute to the concept.
And since some other ppl here noticed, I will address it as well, gothic font? As in kvd-ish gothic font? He actually could've done the actual royal/vampirey/goth palette to mock kvd, since it used to be her thing. His stans would gag. And the palette would've been more interesting. And promising.

And the velvet cover? Has he gone insane? The most impractical idea ever! If you won't ruin it with your fingers, it will ruin itself with dust and dirt. I like velvet and I see what he was going for, but again, colour history and the rest of the design don't match, they just don't! And it's just too much velvet! He could've covered some parts of the package with velvet, so it would've still been there, but it would've been cheaper to produce and looked more high-end. On the other hand making gaudy velvet packaging is totally smth that he would do, considering he doesn't know when to stop with the "rich stuff".
I don't know about the u.s., but in my country the cheapest coffins are made with full velvet upholstery, and they look extra ugly. It was the first thing on my mind when J* showed the packaging. A cheap coffin to bury your pink-dream grandma in.
