I think if they *had* to put her down, they'd post a cute picture of her and a massive heartfelt goodbye note. Either of them would surely milk it if she'd passed.

Maybe, I know, crazy idea, neither of them loved her as much as they portray and basically she got put up for adoption? (by a loving family who would cherish and spoil the little sad dog that she was)

I also think Martha did’t get put down and most likely got adopted by someone else. With the amount Tanya travels and the fact that Jim took a little while to find a place to live they possibly thought it would be unfair on the dog. Also, it would mean that they wont have to decide who gets the dog.

Mind you I wouldn’t want to be stuck in lockdown with him for god knows how long.


Also I’m probably anti social but I wouldn’t want to be in lockdown with the other half’s family for who knows how long.

Yeah but it’s a lot easier when you’re in lockdown in the countryside and your partners parents have a big house, when people in London are having their parks closed down, cos there’s just too many people and not enough space. Plus all Tanya has is that tiny dark back yard to sit out in. I’m surprised Jim didn’t go and stay with his mum, but then he could be 2 or 3 months without seeing Sarah and it’s better to be with a few people than just a couple I think during isolation. I guess Jim must get along with Sarah’s family really well otherwise he would have gone to his mums house. I think Jim’s an extrovert, so I think he would be happier being with several people, rather than just a couple, it would be less boring. Imagine how boring it would be being stuck with just Tanya for company for several months.

Also people aren’t on here to tip toe around other people’s trigger points, get over it or get off.

Maybe it's also a precautionary measure. Jim's mom must be in her mid-sixties, placing her in a category more at risk concerning covid-19. Sarah's parents seem to be a lot younger and less likely to become seriously ill if infected.

Oh yeah that’s right Jim’s mum is in her 60s, she’s probably living with her daughters, cos I think she’s on her own now, since her partner died, so it makes more sense for Jim to go with Sarah’s family.
