I'm not going to lie i have been binge watching saf's videos and i genuinely do enjoy her content! i like the editing, her personality and it's just easy to watch for me.

but there are a few things that bother me. the main one being that saf takes her youtube channel way too seriously for the type of content she posts. yes there is the odd video that would take a week to film but most of the time she could probably smash out multiple videos in a day. like wearing so and so for a day, could literally be done in HOURS. so i don't really understand why her uploads are so inconsistent or she makes it out that all her videos are tough work? her content is just trying stuff?

not to mention she has a boyfriend dedicated to helping her channel full time, most people who do her type of content have no help. which leads me to the 2nd thing that irks me, is her codependency with tyler. i feel like saf presents herself as a very articulate, intelligent and confident woman but is no one going to talk about the fact she literally cannot do anything without tyler?????????? by all means, i think they're a compatible couple but it's never healthy for anyone to spend 24/7 with your partner, with no friends and no social life. i think that's straight up sad, and if i'm honest i don't really look too highly of people like that.

i mean if you're together all the time, why not learn how to cook for eachother? find a hobby to do? i just genuinely think, how are they not bored of going to the mall and getting coffee every day?

Yeah I thought that was weird, too - but then I guess if someone started random crying over nail polish I may have the same reaction... these are two people completely outside the loop of what is 'normal' human interaction.

I wonder what those two awkward enunciat-ors collabed about! Also, Cristine does that weird ugly mouth thing where she talks from the side of her mouth all creased up and weird, now her mouth is stuck in that position. Sorry I’m not very good at explaining it lol.

I LOVE Safiya, but her content has been going down the tubes. She hardly posts anything lately, and if she does it’s rushed and almost for the sake of putting something out there.

I also thought Cristine was being weird but I’m also very awkward with crying people plus Safiya probably didn’t expect her to burst out into tears in the middle of a video and seemed unsure if it was fake crying for comedy. I would have been confused too because Cristine seems to hardly be serious in her videos.

I bet VidCon will be her ne excuse for delaying new videos though.

So true. I'm awkward af but that's why I don't make yt videos dancing around in long sleeved jean jackets and melting candles.

I'm sure if Cristine had been like: No I really need comfort I'm not okay. Saf would have hugged her.

They were hanging out the whole of VidCon from the looks of it. Saf likes to stick to the few people she knows.

If I was in Saf’s place the first words out of my mouth would have been “hey, shut the camera off for a sec” to Tyler, and then closely followed by asking Cristine if she’s okay. Awkward laugher or not, I found it really odd that neither her or Tyler thought that maybe they should cut the camera when she started crying. Even if they were wrong and it was some comedy bit, I know I wouldn’t want to risk it in case my friend was truly sobbing. I know Cristine later went on to use the clip voluntarily in her own video, which is why we saw it, but still. It’s like on British bake-off when a contestant is having a breakdown, the hosts go over near them and start swearing up a storm so that footage is unusable. Why would Saf and him keep the camera running?

It’s not like she can’t delete the footage and if it’s a collab I assume all footage gets approved by both parties before upload anyway. I assume she thought Cristine was doing a bit or smth.

Tyler ate one of the cupcakes before she even got to them so they didn't spell out happy birthday safiya anymore, and instead of birthday candles they used the frankencandle. :O yikes

so true. and she's doing her weird dances in those stories too. does she really have no friends to come to her birthday? I'd like to think it was the midnight intimate celebration we do with just family n friends will come to celebrate next day
