Okay so this is going off topic but it's about Twati! I posted on the Jeffree thread about this so might as well post it here too, basically now that she is friends with Jeffree and Shane it really does make me wonder about Tati's own, hmm idealogies shall we say? I am not saying she's a flaming Nazi or zieg heiling in her Chanel heels but we now have three people who are 'BFF's' one of whom is Jeffree Star, I think most people know of his racist past and we have Shane 'White Saviour' Dawson who has done sympathetic documentaries about three people, ALL of whom have had racist controversies and indeed Shane himself has his own sketchy past with the awful Shanaynay character amongst other things.

This basically got me thinking about Tati. Now I am SO fucking pissed at myself for not getting 'proof' of this but a year ago she posted a video titled 'Products That Beauty Guru's Made Me Buy!'. The thumbnail stuck out to me straight away as every single Guru she picked was white, indeed a few people mentioned in the comments that it was weird how there were no POC on her list and in response to the comments one of her uber stans posted their own comment basically saying something like 'Well of course Tati isn't going to watch POC because she is NOT their skin colour so the products they like won't work for her!' and Tati LIKED the comment.

Several people came in and were like 'WOW Tati!' and the comment got swiftly deleted. I also remember that when she collabed with Jeffree Star a lot of her fans became upset with her, she shut down comments for a while and came out with the nauseating crap about how she'd sat down with Jeffree and got to know him and his heart. She showed no understanding as to why people would be upset with her collab, particularly POC, and all but wrote them off and told them to unsub if they didn't like it.

I am NOT saying Tati is racist as it's a big word to throw around but.....I can't help but feel like attracts like and there's a reason why she has slotted in so nicely with Jeffree and Shane. I just get such a bad vibe about their group and wouldn't really be shocked if down the line it came out that in private they were quite happy to use racial slurs and such. BUT this may be because I dislike Tati so much that I am reading too much into it all, sorry for the long post!

don't particular think they are, but i don't know, i'm not very sensitive on the racist thing,
i think racial card got so over used to the point it become very diluted as a lot of "woke" things.

jeffree star is very manipulative but he know how and when to catch opportunities,
he is very smart and savvy business wise, he wouldn't be the meanest person, as long as you don't get in his way.
shane is a story teller, he is great at it, but that's it,
but i do think people have too high opinion of him as he can be no fault, he knows the best,
obviously that's not true, i'm sure he is nice person, but he is very emotional and not all that rational.
tati is double face faker who is the embodiment of annoying white female who whine about everything that didn't go her way,
who only be friend with people who would benefit her in someway, think to highly of herself and looks really orange and old.

oh well, what can i said, i just really don't like her,
the more she gets away with shit she done the more i dislike her and i can't really think much she is good at then others.
oh wait i know, she is very good at being not relevant to the point she can get away with a lot of shit she done.

I mean honestly all white people are racist (including me) and I think what we're working on now is recognizing and dismantling the harmful stereotypes and prejudices we've been taught our whole lives that are so pervasive in popular culture. I hope that doesn't come off dismissive or off base. But people like Tati and Jeffree who are narcissistic and out of touch probably don't feel the need to do that work. I don't think social issues are important to her at ALL, as she lives in such a small world and the biggest tragedy she can imagine is someone taking a sponsorship from SBH. So I would agree that they probably feel comfortable in their privilege and like that they don't feel pressured to try for decency when they're together.

I don't think social issues are important to her at ALL, as she lives in such a small world and the biggest tragedy she can imagine is someone taking a sponsorship from SBH. She doesn’t care about social or racial issues because they don’t affect her, and she has zero empathy that would allow her to sympathize with various causes. She probably grew in a racially homogenous community and didn’t get to experience how wonderful it is to grow up in diversity!

Of the other plastics, I also tend to believe it’s more ignorance and insensitivity than outright or more traditional racism (though I’m of the camp that racism can encompass more than outright hatred). I do however believe that Jeffree Star is racist, among other things. He is too toxic, too hateful, too vile to be otherwise. And the fact that Twati sees his behavior and excuses/accepts it really does say a lot about her and her moral compass (and James’ as well!).

Yeah this is my opinion, too. She just doesn't care because #1 she's never been exposed to it outside of her white upper class life. #2 doesn't need or want to know or care, because it doesn't affect her or anyone she cares about and lives in a bubble. #3 Only thinks of people like herself with her persona and 'brand' aka more mature white women with disposable incomes.


I know I'm going off topic but it's one of the reasons I loathe Ellen these last few years. She does nothing but target that same market of white mature privileged women with disposable income to buy her stupid over expensive homewares, clothing lines, and everything else she sponsors (which is a long damn list) only to give little previews of carefully selected inspiration porn to keep her brand looking squeaky as if she cares and help the rich bitches watching feel good about themselves in their privilege.
