I'd love to know what other derms really think of her too... And what she really thinks of them!

Dr. Sam's expression = how everyone feels on this thread. Dray probably thinks she's better than other dermatologists because she doesn't waste time/money/effort on clean clothes, makeup, or brushed hair.
She's a complete shill and if someone sponsored a photo-protective biohazard level 4 hazmat suit, she'd be sporting it right now.
Thanks! The “dupe” you found, looks more legit than her snake oil. Nutrion Label which states they don’t actually know the values. Registered company with a real address and the founder’s name. I found it on iHerb too if anyone desperately wants to drink something with questionable nutrional values:

lol I saw this product on iherb too, but I'm boycotting them because she was sponsored by iherb and she has affiliates links. But let's see if Dr Scam is going to offer an alternative to her precious nectar !!!!!! She reads GG
DR DRAY YOUTUBE CHANNEL NEEDS TO DIE IN 2020, WE NEED CLEAN INSTEAD OF SELLOUT YOUTUBERS

She definitely reads here. When people were making fun of her face mask, she decided to try to legitimize it in her videos. When we questioned her scientific research on chaga and rose petals, she now posted a bunch of research papers on rose but it still doesn’t validate her product, just rose petals. I am waiting for the chaga mambo jumbo research paper.
Unfortunately ,I live in a country where not a lot of companies ship North American products to (not even Amazon anymore) except iHerb.
People should just eat berries and drink a glass of red wine instead of buying any antioxidants she is peddling. It is cheaper, tastier and more fun. Draycula wouldn’t know what fun is, it doesn’t belong in her sunfree world.
I did some research on academic journals and there are actually some studies that indicate that it may be good to consume it. One study even suggest it has some sun protecting properties (https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/a ... 4617304164). However, none of the data I was able to find on academic sources says that Bulgarian roses have anything special. In the website of the brand Dr Dray promotes they just claim that Bulgarian roses have more "spiritual vibrancy" or something like that. Anyway, what I'm trying to say is that 1) she probably was interested in this product because it protects (it *may* protect) against the sun, 2) there is actually promising evidence for consuming this, so I might try the cheaper alternative that was posted here and would welcome other ones!, 3) there is absolutely nothing special about this brand at first glance.
If you go back to her video on supplements, she recommends products with seals of approval from a number of organizations that certify the authenticity of products, and I don't think this expensive one that she recommends actually has it, whereas other cheaper ones do.
About her running the half marathon, I was curious and looked up her time...she did it under 2 hours which is pretty impressive. extra impressive becayse she hasnt eaten in months
I saw a dermatologist recently who confirmed that the sun is NOT evil! He sees patients who spend so much time indoors, gaming etc, that they have a vitamin d deficiency. Kids who never play outside. Even rickets was mentioned in the press not long ago, a disease that had previously died out.
Drubbles takes it to obsessive compulsive levels. Her lifestyle now seems geared around avoiding the outdoors (and calories). And to wear 3 layers of sunscreen and a face mask in winter because WINDOWS exist..... if someone behaved like that on an inpatient mental health ward, it would be seen as extreme behaviour even there. Literally like daylight is evil and should be avoided.
It's also adding to her social isolation. Your fellow runners aren't going to wander up and chat if they can't see your facial expression at all, so for her, the veil conveniently takes away the need to socialize.
First off I don't mean to praise Dr Dray. I like her channel a lot but won't since the mod said not to.
However, this is all a lie. The sun is very bad for skin. Unless you don't mind looking old I guess lol. The sun is what ages you and shielding yourself from it since a young age in order to look 30 when you're 40 is a really smart move, not to mention there's short term benefits of daily sunscreen too, such as it helping with hyperpigmentation. I don't know why that derm said that, he probably meant that it won't make you sick unless you get skin cancer which tbf is unlikely. Some doctors only care about ridding you of serious medical issues, but the truth is that aesthetics actually have a huge effect on our quality of life.
I disagree with you on your opinion of Dr Dray but still wanted to leave this here in case it helps you, because she's right about sunscreen.
Regarding vitamin D, that's a great point. You have to take supplements if you wear sunscreen. I know you won't like this, but.... Guess what, Dr Dray warns her viewers about that:
Express Cow, thank you for generously posting a link for me to a vlog by Dr Dray about sunscreen. Gosh, that would have been hard for me to find otherwise!
If you actually read my post, you might notice that I quoted what a dermatologist said to me. I don't necessarily agree with the man. So perhaps you'd like me to put you in touch with him so you can share your carefully curated Dr Dray links with him, too.
The irony of someone coming onto a "trash" thread and posting a link in all seriousness about that guru, in order to educate another gossiper??!!
Off you go now, and don't forget to sunscreen and subscribe.

Your dermatologist's reasoning is that the sun isn't bad because it gives you vit D, but if you take vit D supplements you can have the best of both worlds, that's my point.
I only posted the video to show that Dray warns about what you said... My point was that you would actually benefit from using sunscreen.
Andrea is against vitamin D supplementation, correct? I’ve seen her reply “food” when someone asked her which supplement she can recommend. Other derms, including Dr. Sam absolutely recommend supplementing with vitamin D year round. It’s shortsighted of Andrea to be snippy with commenters about vitamin D (especially in light of all the shit she shills) when she doesn’t know their circumstance. It can be quite dark in places around the world in the winter months, and it’s not always possible to get the amount of vitamin d you need through food. I can’t imagine she even gets what she needs through food, but perhaps her Thursdays afternoons off from the mental ward are sufficient.
Sorry for the DB, I just watched that YouTube video posted above. first of all, her face looks horrible there. Second, she’s such a flip-flopper. I recently saw her tell someone that vitamin D supplements weren’t necessary. She said it flippantly, too, as if to make the person feel stupid. That person may have seen this video, and then asked what spupplent she recommends. She just said, “food.” Didn’t even say which foods.
Edit: OK, I found the post. Someone asked her how she avoids vit d deficiency, and Andrea replied “food.” So I might have misinterpreted her there, assuming she was being an asshole again about someone taking a supplement. Still 100% doubt she gets the nutrition she needs through food.
Sorry, last post. I don’t think anyone thinks Andrea is a nut for recommending sunscreen. We KNOW that wearing sunscreen every day is smart. It’s her obsessive, over-the-top no-life lifestyle she promotes that’s absurd. Yes, the sun causes cancer and gasp, aging. We fucking know that. I come from a family of oncologists. They see skin cancers, but it’s probably never someone who was smart about applying sunscreen. You don’t have to reapply three times a day when you are in a cave to prevent skin cancer, and it’s not necessary to completely avoid the sun at all costs. That is not the take home message in cancer prevention. Wear sunscreen every day. Yes. But you don’t have to live your life in fear of the sun. What that does to your mind is probably worse for your body — the phobia, the stress — than any minute amount of sun exposure you might get if you run out of your burning apartment without reapplying. Her channel is neurotic and fear-based.

They mention short periods WITHOUT sunscreen between March to April in the UK based on the UV levels in UK. This obviously would vary from country to country. Darker skinned individuals have different recommendations as they tend to suffer from Vitamin D deficiencies more than lighter skinned individuals. I live in an Alpine region and I have olive skin, I was told 30 - 40 minutes by my local doctor. If I lived in the Mediterranean, I wouldn’t go beyond 10 minutes without sunscreen due to fear of skin cancer. Dr Dray lives in Texas and is pale as can be, she doesn’t need that much exposure to sunlight to get Vitamin D. Dr Dray isn’t the universal authority on sunscreen and Vitamin D. She isn’t the sunscreen messiah of YouTube.
@ExpressCow since you’re keen to educate us, perhaps you could explain your assertion that it’s a “smart move” to look 30 when you’re 40.
That doesn’t seem smart to me. Merely shallow.
FYI, you’re going off-script here, because your guru respects natural ageing. Admittedly, her message is muddled by her apparent use of injectables, fake teeth and the application of acidic products.
Which beings me onto another point. Where are the longitudinal studies supporting not just the efficacy, but, more importantly, the safety of these acidic substances?
Yet another of her contradictions.
Ultimately, it’s not up to any of us here to prove anything scientifically. It’s a trash thread on a gossip forum (a point which you repeatedly seem to either be disrespecting, or not having the basic intelligence to understand). It’s up to Dray Gardens to maintain a suitable ethical standard, while holding a license to practise dermatology.
Nope. She was interested in it, because they offered her money to promote their product.
That's true, but I think she actually does drink it all day because of those claims.
You’ve seen this, have you? Can you provide the date of even one day - just one - during which she has done this?
I suppose you think she eats bowls of pasta, too.
I am seriously concerned about people who don’t understand the concept of image management.
I wasn't disagreeing with you. Of course she does it because of the money. What I meant is that she is also drawn to this because of those health claims, like she is drawn to reapplying sunscreen all day and drinking and eating strange things with some fantasy of health benefits. Many other users here have pointed out some components of orthorexia.
Here's another comment she might delete soon:
