Good for her for handling it maturely, and honestly some of the comments under that video are ridiculous! I doubt Louise has been following the Tarte controversy closely (hell, I don't have a baby and had no clue that this was an issue with this particular foundation!)Hey Emily, I'm sorry I've saddened you. I know I didn't mention it in this video (I don't think), but I had a baby last month (after being 14 days over due) and 90% of my time has been focussed on her. The other 10% (aside from general life and mothering my 6 year old) has been on making a few videos, editing them and whipping them online. I genuinely had not seen the issues surrounding Tarte and this is why I didn't mention it, not because I'm white and ignorant or choosing to be silent. If I had known I would have still said I really love the products from Tarte that I have tried (as this is the truth) and that I would like to see them include foundations for EVERY shade of skin so that EVERYONE can enjoy them. x

Horrible passive aggressive response from her on that comment about foundation. She always replies like that!
Re: SprinkleofEntitlement: Permanently Pregnant Pentland par
How come you see it as passive aggressive? I agree she can be but I thought that was a reasonable answer she gave without it being passive aggressive.PrettyInATeacup wrote:Horrible passive aggressive response from her on that comment about foundation. She always replies like that!

I didn't find her reply passive aggressive either. We live in a world of a 24-hour news cycle. It's hard enough during the best of times to try and stay informed while also doing all your other things. I cannot imagine being 2 weeks out from having a baby and being asked to remember anything. She's already back to doing stuff.

To be fair I felt like Liam's filming of the labour was sweet and he probably wanted to do something to feel more involved/support what Louise wanted. We only got a few snippets of footage from what was a 10 hour labour it wouldn't be that hard to film a minute or two each hour.

A lot of people film the birth, so I don't see that as any different. I did feel sorry for him being sent out to the shops to get coconut oil after his first born child has just arrived. I mean surely they had a substitute for that moment in time, he most likely wanted to be with his new baby and Louise instead of going to the shops.Sam75 wrote:How does everyone feel about Liam (pearls dad) being Louise's cameraman during her labour? I mean it's a very special time for him too and I felt instead of being able to experience the emotions of becoming a father he's being yelled at by Louise about when to film and when not to. He must have been prepped on what his duties were as she said he's filming the clock so I know the time for the vlog. Then when pearl arrives she sends him to get coconut oil

Oh god does everything about her have to be negative? They agreed they would film, and they only filmed a very short amount of the 9+ hour labour. When pearl was arriving, they weren't filming. They needed coconut oil - who else was supposed to get it? Louise, having just had a baby, or maybe Matt when he brought Darcy round? If Liam didn't feel comfortable filming, I doubt they would have. And they needed the oil for Pearl, because her skin was dry. Should they have left it for her skin to get worse, leaving her uncomfortable and possible in pain?Sam75 wrote:How does everyone feel about Liam (pearls dad) being Louise's cameraman during her labour? If Louise had had a hospital birth Liam would of had to of left that night, a lot of hospitals don’t allow the Dads to stay over so him nipping out for half an hour to get some coconut oil really isn’t a big deal. It’s not like he ran out during the birth. I’m sure he didn’t mind going out and getting it for his new baby, he might of even offered. I don’t even see why people are concerned about it!

Exactly! He would have needed to leave until Louise started having the baby, or until 9am (whichever one came sooner). Him leaving for what, 20 minutes? Isn't a big dealSecretadmirer wrote:If Louise had had a hospital birth Liam would of had to of left that night, a lot of hospitals don’t allow the Dads to stay over so him nipping out for half an hour to get some coconut oil really isn’t a big deal. Re: SprinkleofEntitlement: Permanently Pregnant Pentland par
Ffs sometimes people really do nitpick
I had a horrendous labour with my first and when I finally gave birth 24 hours later, my husband was made to leave and left me alone with a newborn all evening and night! I remember there was NO-ONE around, I was so scared to go to the toilet and leave the baby so I carried him in and did a wee whilst holding him (WTF) as there was no a single person to be seen anywhere in the dead of the night! Anyway so yeah I was alone for at least 12 hours possibly longer - before my husband could come back, so Liam leaving for 30 min is nothing! Though I still find a bit weird - who thought of needing coconut oil straight away? I've never heard of anyone applying coconut oil to a newborn straight after it's born- but okay!
Liam filming it - most people do! Well we didn't, but I never thought about it tbh!
Esther's husband is called Raj.
Louise is doing fine, she loves her kids and her man loves her- I think she's become more bearable since she's had Pearl and I don't think there's much to write home about - re: her - right now... Just hope she's happy and content with her new baby [HEAVY BLACK HEART]️

Re: SprinkleofEntitlement: Permanently Pregnant Pentland par
I think you'll be hard-pressed to find a father that isn't yelled at during labour. It is pretty hard to give a shit about his experience when you're in that much pain. And OF COURSE he went out for the coconut oil. He's physically well, Louise isn't. I think you are clutching at straws here, looking for something to be angry at Louise for.Sam75 wrote:How does everyone feel about Liam (pearls dad) being Louise's cameraman during her labour? Re: SprinkleofEntitlement: Permanently Pregnant Pentland par
I actually really liked the birth video. I'm SUPER judgmental of people who choose home birth so I liked that I can better understand their reasoning. Thanks Louise *shrugs*
Re: SprinkleofEntitlement: Permanently Pregnant Pentland par
Liam leaving to get coconut oil for his daughter is not a big deal. If anything he’s being a father and getting something his daughter needs.
A lot of Dads if not most are sent away home once the baby is born. It’s unfair on them and the mum to be apart but that’s just how some hospitals work. They don’t have the space or just can’t for whatever reason.
Also with Louise yelling, perfectly normal. A lot of woman swear and tell their partners to never come near them again. All apart of giving birth!

Re: SprinkleofEntitlement: Permanently Pregnant Pentland par
She probably trusted Liam the most to film because he knows her wishes. Also beyond the midwives, there was no one else there. She didn't seem to want anyone else at the birth, which I completely get.
Re: SprinkleofEntitlement: Permanently Pregnant Pentland par
I loved the vlog too just thought Liam didn't need the added pressure and stress at such a key moment in his life, I remember how anxious my husband was and I can't imagine him trying document the birth. I wanted him to make the most of such a memorable time as well

Re: SprinkleofEntitlement: Permanently Pregnant Pentland par
Or maybe Liam focusing on something else other than worrying about Louise and Pearl helped with any anxiety he had. We really don't know enough about Liam to know either way. He's a grown man if he didn't want to he could use his words and say no. He probably wanted those home movies too for his own keepsakes.
Re: SprinkleofEntitlement: Permanently Pregnant Pentland par
Ehh the apology is decent but lbr even if she wasn't pregnant or post-partum she wouldn't have known or cared much about the controversy unless somebody prepped her to.jiggy_girl wrote:This is a response to a comment that Louise posted around 45 minutes agorai1234 wrote:She was also completely unaware that they brought out shape tape foundations, so the chances of her knowing about the shade range fiasco at the time of filming the video are close to zero. Did anyone find Louise’s dad meeting Pearl very uncomfortable to watch in the new weekly vlog...? Maybe he is uncomfortable being filmed but it really didn’t seem very emotional to me?
