Omg, usually people are worried that they haven’t bought enough plates and cups...not that they’ve bought too many!

It’s always good to have paper plates and plasticware at home, you can use that stuff for so many things that don’t even involve entertaining, it’s crazy to me that someone would be worried about having extras! lol

Hahahaaa so true Irishish

It really is like her guests are a major inconvenience. God, matthew another RSVP has arrived, they're coming, *sigh*. She really is resentful/worried over every single fork, plate and cup. It will be one of those parties where you've travelled MILES and youre starving but you can only put one tiny sausage roll and one triangle of sandwich and three crisps on your plate because you can see how far the food has to stretch :(
I bet she's already sorted her party smalltalk too:
How much everything cost, how inconvenient it was to cater that morning pre cooking all the food, and how cross matthew was when he had to drive her back to wilkos to buy three more silver serving plates and some value party poppers.

I am not a party snob, and i can remember my parties as a kid or parties thrown by other people, who were not well off and on a major budget but they had soul and fun and effort! if you can afford to rent a place for £100 (because for many people that is a lot) surely you can stretch to a bit more for your food/decor?! Isn't she supposed to be crafty? Knit some bloody bunting!

Throwback to Louise and Dan Howell's prank video where she pranks Matt, is Devon now trying to put forward this "Louise didn't do as she was told in this relationship, however I'm a good wifey and will submit to Matthew."

Um, why would you aspire to that? Also why would you want a man that tried to control his wife, instead of embracing her? Why does everything need to be on his terms? Louise is a free bird Devon, and you seriously think it's impressive you're obeying Matt by staying in the cage?
Hang on. Did he actually say the words ‘revoking permission’? If so that’s pretty disgusting, he really brings his work home with him doesn’t he. Wow.

I still can't get over how they have rented the hall for 7 hours! I would allow 1 hour set up and 1 hour clean up which leaves 5 hours of them..how depressing. 5 hours of Matt and Devon and thier terrible taste in music blasting through cheap speakers.

I can't believe she is complaining about paper plates and forks. My god this woman is such a laugh. Will she be telling people off if they pick up more than one cold sausage roll? and then stuffing her face with the pineapple and cheese bites while Matt stands about gormless as ever and poor Darcy being shoved at strangers to make small talk.

This vlog is going to be hilarious and such a fail!

I really wish I could be a guest at this party just to use several plates and see Devon's reaction to it.

Aren’t most weddings around 7 hours! Why would they rent the hall for that long. My wedding was from 4-10pm that is less than her engagement party even if you consider some of her time will be used for set-up and clean-up. :o

Given she’s only bought 30 plastic forks and believes that’s enough for everyone then that must mean they aren’t expecting more than 30 people, which means all her family + friends and all Matt’s family + friends = 30 people or less. :?

I can’t believe she only spent £6 on plates, cutlery and napkins for her party. SIX pounds. You can earn more than that working for an hour at minimum wage, Devon, come ON.

Haha! Can you imagine if she was

Can’t believe how cheap they are being...actually I can. They are selfish self-centred boring people whose idea of throwing a engagement party is this.

I think most weddings go on until about midnight or so. I guess it's a day thing which seems weird? Like if it was a big lunch or something fair play but with no proper food or anything I thought it was starting at maybe 6pm? Tbh I think a lot of people will be making their excuses after 2 hours and they'll be left with like 10-15 people who feel obligated to stay. The thing is if they'd made effort to make it a fun party no one would care what drips they are.

When you throw a party and invite people you're meant to HOST them?! She's forcing people to come to a village hall for SEVEN hours eating cold mini pizzas and drinking their alcohol that they had to bring themselves...This sounds horrible and something I'd seriously be avoiding if I was invited :?

Also anyone that shows up to this party and sees how stingey and resentful she is. are highly unlikely to show up to the wedding aswell

Also, why ARE they so tight? Does anybody know how much teachers in the UK earn/how much benefits or whatever she'd be entitled to....surely their stinginess is way over the top

Just saw this comment on that awful party video. WTAF? Darcy would never feel like an outsider, her own family would be there. Your the outsider Devon you creep!

Wow her answers in the comments :?
The top comment suggested getting more cups because people use more than one cup when they put it down or lose it.

Her answer:' I was considering getting some more cups, but the venue have glasses too, so I don’t want to go too crazy! I’m always cautious of buying too much!'

Too crazy? What excuse me? Buying some more cups is going crazy for her...

I’ve always read that the starting salary for a teacher where I live (just a normal UK city, not London) was £26,000 so $36,500. Sorry, haven’t got time to convert it to other currencies. And Matt’s been doing it for years so? I guess he still has to pay child maintainence to Louise though and that can be ££££. Bet that’s why he’s bitter :)

She’s definitely doing it for the presents/money and for attention after Louise has given birth

I highly doubt Louise takes any child maintenance from him, to be fair. Darcy spends 50/50 with both of them, and Louise doesn't need the money anyway.

Omg, that's mental. Projecting her own insecurities onto Darcy. WHY would Darcy feel like an 'outsider'. Its just called 'people at a party you dont know' and this will happen infinite times to most humans throughout their lives at work, socialising and in public. You just deal with it. This really is about her own mental health and perception of being 'an outsider' at work, college and how she feels. I get that she wants to protect darcy from how she experiences strangers and socialising, but Darcy is fine and a totally different person to her. She needs some self awareness, pronto because she is projecting her own victim mentality into this 'passion'.
