I think he deleted that many videos, because he used music without permission. I remember looking for one video and it had like 5 songs in it. He probably thought that it's not worth keeping them if he got copyrighted or had to pay the owner of music rights.

One of them was his most viewed video from snowboarding trip that had like 1-2 million views. He wouldn't just delete them if they didn't represent his brand, because he was still getting paid for them. And even if he wanted to do that, it wouldn't be his most viewed videos or the travel ones (unproblematic, no niomi ect)...
