It's a shame that Lindy can't see that Tim's friends are a reflection of himself. Yes they're bad friends in that they encourage him to be irresponsible, but these are the people HE chooses to spend his time with over his wife and children.

Lindy says several times that she wishes his friends could stand in her shoes and see the situation from her point of view, which is fair enough. But what if it was one of Tim's friends doing the same to his wife. Let's be honest, Tim would probably encourage that behaviour and Lindy would probably judge the friend's wife for "not letting boys be boys" or some other patriarchal bs.

Lindy, you can find as many excuses as you want. But the problem is solely with you and Tim, you're incompatible with each other. Babies, money and holidays won't fix this.

Hey all. I have been lurking around for quite some time now and what sparks my interest is that Tim liked all those comments which disapproves Lindy's behavior of shaming him.

Yes, Tim is a jerk for putting himself before his family however that doesn't mean whatever Lindy is doing to him is right too. I would see this as cyberbullying where you shame someone online and make him the public enemy of her supporters. Moreover, Tim is her husband. Why would you do this to someone who is your closed one? That just doesn't sit right with me. This whole airing the dirty laundry business paints Lindy in a bad light.

She condones it. As much as she complains about Tim's wild behaviour, she is also being delusional about it by rationalising this is perfectly normal.
Yes, couples fight in a marriage but they don't tell the whole world their spouse is s*hit. That is not mature.
We accept the love we think we deserve, same goes for Lindy.

In fact, I do not feel sorry for her. The way that she is behaving, she expects people to support her every cause is just wrong. Both of them should just grow up instead of counting scores of who messes up more.

Guys this is different. They've never shared their marital woes this publicly before. There are two things going on, either this is a publicity stunt for her new book to encourage sales/ a precursor to a second book about dealing with marital woes OR this is the beginning of a divorce.

I wonder if they did get a divorce, would Lindy have to pay him child support? I remember when friends of my parents got divorced a few years ago, the wife had to pay her ex-husband money because he had become accustomed to a certain lifestyle (he was also a stay at home dad, like Tim), and had no income of his own until he got a job. I could totally see Tim doing the same thing.

He wouldn't get child support. As much as he behaves like one he is not a kid anymore. And he won't get the kids, so no reason for him to get child support. Maybe support for his living expenses though. I wonder if they signed a prenup...
