The explanation is that the spirit is using the energy of the players to move the planchette. That's why the players aren't supposed to press down hard, just rest two fingers on it. Hope that helps!

Atheism is the absence of belief, it is our innate state to be free of Gods/dieties and other such nonsense. To argue that all atheists are horrible people is just as ridiculous as saying all people are horrid. An atheist is just a person, there is no reason why one person who identifies as being an atheist would share the same opinions as another seeing as there is no "belief system" unlike in religions.

I believe in supernatural things. My house as a child had apparitions and things that would follow you through the vents room to room.

My friends house as an adult had a woman's voice in the attic that would cry for hours, footsteps stomped around, the sound of whimpering & scratching by invisible dogs in the kitchen, clawing sounds at the bottom of closed doors --none of the things were shy at all btw. nothing like the movies. If there was a big group of people there they could still be heard clearly.

That being said... Ouiji boards are manufactured by Milton Bradley at a factory and packaged by workers. Thousands upon thousands. Their factory has no demons flying around or people seizuring and dying, etc. it's a game board like monopoly or chess. And junk. Just my personal opinion.
