Thank you for everyone's concern. I suppose it's time to address this issue once and for all, because it has been mentioned many times before. I've had Dash checked by several psychologists, and they said he is not autistic. However, it is true he has speech delay, which makes his communication sound weird. After countless nights of research on autism (who would have expected I will become a mini autism expert), I believe he has a condition called Hyperlexia Type 3. If you are interested, here is a short explanation. https://spectrumnews.org/opinion/viewpo ... or-autism/ It is a little known condition, so I cannot find any psychologist/neurology expert in Singapore to verify my suspicion. Hyperlexia 3 kids tend to show autistic symptoms, which they mostly outgrow by age 7. It's a really fascinating condition actually. These children have an amazing talent for reading. Dash can spell hippopotamus at age 2 and now at age 4 he can read any word with ease, despite never being specifically taught. Long ago I wrote a blog post, stating that I am resolutely sure Dash isn't autistic. At age 2, he had good eye contact, laughed at peekaboo, was affectionate and friendly to everyone, said more words and earlier than his peers, didn't line objects up or hurt himself, wasn't a stickler for routine, and didn't have any sensory sensitivities, which 85% of autistic kids do. His only warning sign was his love for fans and spinning, which one day about a year ago he suddenly and completely lost interest in it. But when his peers caught up with his speech and he can't seem to have a proper back and forth conversation, I knew something was up. Please understand that as a parent I am torn. I don't know if I should talk about Dash's condition because I think he should have a right to decide for himself if he wants to let people know, it shouldn't be up to me to announce it to the world. Secondly, announcing this might cause social stigma for him (I don't want other kids to avoid him) and might affect school intake chances in future. Maybe it isn't completely honest but all parents want the best for their children, no? Thirdly, despite the experts saying he isn't autistic, a (very sad) part of me still wonders what if they are wrong? I don't want to announce that he is or isn't, because honestly neurology is so complex and nobody seems to really know what is going on with him. You can only diagnose the brain based on symptoms... And symptoms can be caused by a variety of reasons. Anyway, the best I can do for him is to try to get him better by treating those symptoms, so he is taking therapy classes. Hiding my comment here as I am terrified what people will say about him. Please be kind and understanding, thank you.
PS: Regarding eye contact... Dash is very easily distracted by his surroundings so he doesn't have a lot of eye contact, but even if this short video u can see instances of it at 0:01, 2:31 and 3:45.

Yeah still not buying it, she is rather defensive about this, and honestly look at how he is behaving. She continuously swats his hands away or grabs his hands, think about all the cuts and edits as well. This video is obviously edited to make him look as good as possible._N_ wrote:thoughts?Xiaxue

His reading is good? Don't think so - he doesn't seem like a voracious reader and he was adamant that 'cat' was 'cht'. He has been obsessively doodling/drawing a door for the bathroom - IIRC he was doing this a lot on her instastories. He isn't interactive and always has a glazed expression.
LOL. wow, didn't think I would feel so strongly about this but I guess I am just sick of her making excuses.

Re: Xiaxue Part 20
I can believe it. I myself was taken to an autism specialist at age 3 and it turned out that I just had a massive delay in speech... I was not on the spectrum whatsoever. There was never an exact diagnosis for why I had the delay--I mean, this was in the 90's--but my mother just hired a speech therapist to work with me and that was that._N_ wrote:thoughts?Xiaxue

I wonder if XX made any efforts to aid Dash's speech issues. It seems to me that she's just making excuses to avoid treatment by saying she can't get a proper diagnosis on him.

Why is she unhappy with Ripple? I unfollow Xiaxue for a very long so I don't get to see her story.Hyshpqpq wrote:Referring to her latest insta story, she’s really only going to be left with Shuyin at the rate she’s feeling unhappy with what her friends do. She's a sicko. Did anyone catch her IG story "polls" on disgusting Would You Rather questions? Like pertaining to eating human meat, or "dick cheese" over something else nasty and whatever else she was going on about. Her mind really disturbs me. Being raised by a person like that is probably not good development-wise...

She's got nothing better to post so post sicko stuff to get attention. Really pathetic. She probably used to think she could survive on Dash's growing up videos but never imagined he can't even sustain a normal back and forth conversation.elleira wrote:She's a sicko. This is probably going to come across as catty, but I am genuinely asking: Is it worth my time to keep tabs on this stupid bitch anymore? Has she come up with anything truly interesting or helpful in a while? I don't really care about her family that much, I always used to follow her because I thought she was unique. Are those days over, do you guys think?
I am most likely not going to be returning to the forum in the future! But I would like to thank all of you for the advise, humor, and support I have received during my years of participation here. This place doesn't deserve the hate it gets!

cannot wait to see her finally admitting her son is autistic
remember her blog post years ago insisting her son is normal and that gg is wrong?
a true in your face moment, cannot wait to gloat
