Re: JAMbeauty89 Part 2
Thanks for making this!! In her latest first impression, it was a completely USELESS!! Like it was watching her put it on and she made a couple comments after only about 1 hour, max. Like at least leave the product on for half a day, I mean if you want to make a substantial first impressions wear it for a few hours and then update us. Also, I feel like she always says 'I'll review (whichever product) soon' and then you almost never see an actual review... its like really. And her swatch/reviews are only swatches and there is little to no review, probably because she never actually wears the products, since her comfort zone is smaller than a grain of rice, and she probably doesn't wear them so that way she can 'declutter' products that she never uses. Also, is it decluttering if you never use it. I mean, whats the point. Just don't buy it in the first place if you won't ever use it or only use it once... she just sometimes appears wasteful...

Re: JAMbeauty89 Part 2
I watched her "disappointing products that companies sent me" video and I don't know if it's just me, but her aversion to all of the products that didn't work for her was so over-the-top that it just made me feel like she was acting.
Someone in the comments suggested that she insert clips of how the products applied and wore through the day (like how emilynoel83 does) so people aren't just taking her word for it. I think that's a good idea and I think more Youtubers should start doing that. It lends an extra level of credibility to such a saturated market.

That is a great point! that's what was frustrating about her Milani video as well, you've had the product on for less than an hour, and haven't tried it with different primers or methods. It's more beneficial to show how a product works than just describe it. Showing comparison shots would be really helpful, as well as actually putting products to the test.Chiyou wrote: Someone in the comments suggested that she insert clips of how the products applied and wore through the day (like how emilynoel83 does) so people aren't just taking her word for it. Also I know we can tend to get lost in the world of youtube, but I find it odd she won't test with a sponge. Yes, the beauty blender is a 'newer' product but people have been using cosmetic sponges(like the little white triangle ones) for years. Also, she is on youtube and a lot of people are aware of and use the beauty blender or something like it, so it would be beneficial for her audience. I have a few foundations where I can only apply them with a sponge or they look heavy, so It would be nice to know how it works with one.

Yeah a helpful review would be her applying it wuth different techniques and then explaining which one seemed to work best with that particular formula.aw35 wrote:That is a great point! that's what was frustrating about her Milani video as well, you've had the product on for less than an hour, and haven't tried it with different primers or methods. All she has her channel for is to review makeup that is in her tiny comfort zone so she can find the perfect off-whiteish all over shadow, light brown crease color, black gel liner and whatever hideous lipstick color she wants. Her YouTube channel simply allows her to try products in that category for free while monetizing the views. It's self serving and is not informative unless you want to learn how to find the best product to dress up like Jessica for Halloween. Jeez

WTF was with the "nobody outside of YouTube uses the beauty blender" comment? I know plenty of people who don't even know there is a YouTube beauty community that use a BB. She really thinks she's super special doesn't she?

Haha well no one "INSIDE YOUTUBE" goes to great clips to get their hair done. I will never trust a hair tutorial or hair care review from her. Not because she is being cheap but her explanation of why she goes to great clips in the first place is just hilarious.amjhubr wrote:WTF was with the "nobody outside of YouTube uses the beauty blender" comment? another review where she doesn't even try the product out. She admitted she hasn't worn the maybelline liquid lipsticks for a long time, but still gives them a positive review. Which in my opinion, those liquid lipsticks are a horrible product. I bought one and it's had the strongest smell and taste which made it basically unwearable, they aren't matte at all, WHICH WE CAN ALL SEE IN HER VIDEO, and they wear horribly. All that video told me about her opinion of them was she liked the same boring nude colors she always likes and she likes getting free stuff from maybelline.

Re: JAMbeauty89 Part 2
Agreed. She is just about the only Youtuber I've seen that liked those Maybelline Vivid Mattes. Even makeupalley only gave it 1.6 out of 5.aw35 wrote:another review where she doesn't even try the product out. TotalMakeupJunkie101 hated it; KathleenLights hated it; ReadySetGlamour hated it; Tati liked some and hated some; and Jaclyn Hill (upon first impression; she didn't do a review) didn't like them. Jaclyn Hill actually switched from the Vivid Matte to another lipstick in the middle of one of her videos because she didn't like it.
Don't know what Jessica was thinking with her positive review on those.

Re: JAMbeauty89 Part 2
That comment threw me off. I don't know wth she's talking about. Sponges have been around for years. I've used all sorts of sponges and I only started watching beauty gurus for the past year or so.WTF was with the "nobody outside of YouTube uses the beauty blender" comment? And my god, wtf happened to her face? She looks awful in her Milani foundation review video. She's all splotchy, swollen and purple. Her cheeks have been looking a bit fuller lately. It's possible she's preggers or sick? I don't follow her anymore but from what I've seen, she hasn't shown herself below shoulder level. I'm really starting to think she's knocked up and if she is, that baby is taking a serious toll on her, woah betsy!

Re: JAMbeauty89 Part 2
Also that is an awful teaser. The only thing not showing is her mouth which we all know is probably a pinky nude

Re: JAMbeauty89 Part 2
Regarding the Maybelline Vivid Mattes....she likes them because Maybelline sent them to her. She was all giggly when she said she got a package from them.
