Re: Maybelline mascaras
I have a small backlog of mascaras to use up but I do fancy Lash Sensational. I'm a sucker for a kooky brush.
Has anyone used it? What did you think?
I usually like Maybelline Mascaras. They are the ones I'll usually buy.
I am very fickle though and I never buy the same mascara twice. I have a Rimmel one at the moment and the brush is as big as my eyeball. I like the Cat Eyes brush. It's small so I can get to all my lashes. Separates them beautifully. Don't remember the mascara itself but I always keep the brushes and wash them.

Re: Maybelline mascaras
The Lash sensational is AMAZING
I have been using the orange Covergirl lash blast religiously for a long time, but I tried the lash sensational and now it's my holy grail mascara.
Seriously, if you have tiny sparse lashes, invest in it. It will give you so much length particularly, but also volume, without making the hairs thick or clumpy. I usually use 3 coats though to build the volume. I don't know how to explain, but it kind of lifts the base of your lashes and holds the curl (if you used a curler).
To be honest though, if I want extra "drama" I will finish with a coat of falsies.
NB: Always get the waterproof version with maybelline!

Re: Maybelline mascaras
The Colossal one is freakin' incredible. The best way I have found to use it is really wiggle it into the base of your lashes and out and then quickly go over it all up to 30 times to really flutter them out. It also dries the formulae a tad so they don't clump up.

Re: Maybelline mascaras
My favorite drugstore mascara is the Maybelline Illegal Lengths. I'm surprised I've never heard anyone else rave about it. It really does wonders for lengthening.
If I want more volume, I'll apply the Illegal Lengths first because it separates my lashes perfectly and adds crazy length, then when I apply a thicker mascara it doesn't go on clumpy. AMAZING combination!

Re: Maybelline mascaras
I feel like all Maybelline mascaras have that distinctive Maybelline mascara smell LOL. I do like a lot of their mascaras. One of my favourites is Lash Sensational. It gives really great volume, length and separation. It does dry up really quickly though (two months after opening) but it's great while it's usable.

Have been a Falsies girl ever since and it has served me well. But I think it's time to explore others I am yet to find my HG mascara.

Re: Maybelline mascaras
Has anyone tried falsies push up drama? What's everyone's opinion?
I can't see it being around long. It isn't getting good reviews.
It's really wet and will clump easily because the brush is useless. The bristles are far apart so you just end up with three giant lashes. I can't get the hang of the brush.
I tried it with a dense bristle brush (Mac false lash extreme black - my holy grail mascara brush) and it applied quite nicely. I got good volume and definition but not length. Thankfully it doesn't dry crunchy and brittle but lash sensational has a better formula. I wouldn't repurchase personally.

Re: Maybelline mascaras
After using Maybelline mascaras for quite some time, I've found that the Volum' Express ones (Falsies, Mega Plush, Colossal) dry up so fast! I'm very sure it's the packaging. The cap seems to have a bit of a space between the wand and the tube when it closes, possibly causing air to get in. My Colossal mascara only lasted me two months!

Re: Maybelline mascaras
I've been using the Hypercurl volume express is pretty good but I felt it made my lash look pretty fake. Can you guys recommend a maybelline mascara that doesn't make your lash look too voluminous but there's still something there kind of thing? I want them to look a little more natural. Thanks!
