Uhhh... Erm... Ever thought they may share the same kinks? I don't think a guy his age will stay with someone for so long without being intimate, that's a major part of a good relationship.
He probably does have some sort of kink to pain, but a good point was raised here:
in the first few extreme challenges he was the one being subjected to it, and his friends filmed/laughed at him. why did he decide they have to do the challenge as well?
also, if you think about it, Mark doesn't seem to do anything completely on his own nowadays, there's always someone else participating, in the room etc.
Oh, I totally agree with you that Mark seems to never do anything alone. There are a thousand reasons why a person can be like that, from loneliness to needing to control people, to just not knowing how to do things alone. I'm leaning toward him wanting to control the group. There's a reason why people distance themselves from Mark over time, because no matter how "caring" a person may seem, a jerk is still a jerk.
Not always, but a lot of the time, the way people carry themselves day to day will advertise what their sexual interests are. Also, many people spend years in relationships without being intimate, or are seldom ever intimate, and it isn't always a religious reason. I can speak for myself that I was in a relationship for four years, and the number of times we were intimate I can count on one hand. All I will say is that our interests were completely different, and I was not going to force him to embark on my "kinks", so we did other activities instead. Of course, Mark and Amy are not me and my ex-boyfriend, and yes, some people can be totally different and still have decent bedroom experiences. But it's not a common occurrence.
What I will say about young heterosexual men, is that they will often stay in a relationship without having sex, because being able to say they have a girlfriend is enough to boost their ego. In comparison to their peers, they have someone to show off, or in a better scenario someone to love, and they won't have to worry about getting picked on for being single. And I can totally visualize Mark picking on his guy friends for being single.
