1st picture: Girl is dressed up as Lil Wayne. Question, did anyone find it offensive when "White Chicks" came out and two black men were painting their faces, acting, and dressing like "white" girls? It's really not that big of a deal. She's got they Styrofoam cup, hair, jewelry, and "grill", just like Lil Wayne...she's mimicking a famous rapper, not ALL of black culture. It's called dressing up. It's for shits and giggles.
2nd picture: The woman is dressed as a Geisha. She's not dressed as Japanese. A Geisha is a job, a profession. Do people get mad when someone dresses as a cop or a doctor? No cause it's a profession. If someone dresses up as a Geisha they are not implying the entire Japanese population are Geisha's...
3rd picture: Mexican riding a donkey. I find this hilarious and I know plenty of my family who would as well. It's a Mexican....riding a donkey. Why is this offensive? Next.
4th picture: I'm always a little iffy on people dressing up with bombs strapped to them but...he is a dressed as a TERRORIST. Are all people from the Middle East terrorists? No. Therefore this costume is not targeted at them. The only people who should be insulted by such an overused, stereotypical costume are terrorist themselves.
I highly doubt that people are judging the worth of an entire race by what someone wears on Halloween. People need to learn how to laugh and take a joke. I was planning on dressing as a Leprechaun for St. Patrick's Day carrying a glass of beer and getting drunk but I guess that might offend the Irish...
You have majorly over simplified this, and picked some easily justifiable 'costumes.' I have seen people literally just go black face for halloween, with no other explanation other than that they're going black. The difference between this and dressing up white like in 'white chicks' is that there is no institutionalised racism against white people in the western world, even if people like to pretend like race is no longer an issue. As for jobs, people are unlikely to be offended by jobs because there has never been persecution of masses of people based on their occupation in the modern world. Also, people do go as terrorists, they also wear tea towels on their heads and rub dirt on their face and call themselves afghans... it's pretty offensive on those levels. I'm assuming you are mexican because you said you wouldn't be offended if people dressed mexican, but that's you and I don't think you can speak for everyone.
