I noticed there wasn't a topic for missejlouie. What do you guys think about her? I first subscribed to her because she has some good fashion videos, but now I'm kind of meh about her videos.
She was particularly annoying in this video, why is it that so many youtubers start to get super annoying after being on youtube for awhile??

Re: Missejlouie
I liked her for a long time, but she disappeared for a big period of time and now posts very sporadically. Her posts seem to be more about getting noticed by certain stores (Nordstrom, Walmart, ShopLately) than actually interacting with like-minded people.
Her home is beautiful but she doesn't do anything on home decor, and she's getting married but she doesn't post on that either. I feel like she doesn't do much to set herself apart from other YouTubers and she comes across as sort of a poor man's Wendyslookbook.

Posting this on the off chance someone will see it and respond, but what is up with her Instagram photos lately?!?! She's 5'1, but her legs look like they belong to someone a whole foot taller. It's clear she's editing/stretching them. But why? She's so skinny and petite to begin with. It just looks ridiculous.
I have to say that I'm not exactly a fan of the direction Erica has gone in with her channel over the last year or so. She puts out good content, but that doesn't justify her disappearing for weeks on end then coming back only so she can put out multiple sponsored videos that she's contractually obligated to do. IMO, she's lost a lot of her authenticity which is why I loved her so much in the beginning. I also don't understand her constant absence, which based on the above comments has been going on for a while. She left her regular job to do YouTube fulltime because she was stressed out and unfulfilled. Now that she's doing YouTube fulltime she's too stressed/burned out that she has to take massive chunks of time off. Just sad to see her go the way of so many other YouTubers I used to like. I've yet to find one that doesn't sell out completely or change once they get successful.

It feels like she’s trying to make herself look taller, but she just ends up looking like a creepy life sized Bratz doll.RosalitaRaspberry wrote: ↑Fri Sep 06, 2019 9:20 amPosting this on the off chance someone will see it and respond, but what is up with her Instagram photos lately?!?! Re: Missejlouie
Is anyone still watching her? I gave up on her at the end of the summer. Not that it was hard to, given how she disappears for weeks on end until it's time to release a new sponsored video to pay for that house she's building in Colorado. She has great style, but I just think she's gone the way of so many YouTubers where it becomes all about money and consumerism. She doesn't even keep her Instagram updated. The only time she posts is to let people know she's released a new video.

Re: Missejlouie
After watching her trajectory throughout the years...
I don’t think she’s even a decent influencer. She isn’t good at being personable (always seems like she’s projecting super hard), disappears for weeks if not months and will have the nerve to list 4000 affiliate links and bounce again.
Really successful influencers are good at interweaving a feel of their personal life (good or bad) with their professional ads. Every video I’ve seen she just slides more into hardcore sleazy salesman territory.
The 2020 black owned business content was cringe. Then disappeared..again. And only to return more aggressively to push Walmart. Which is, the epitome of slavery and fast fashion without a conscience. Also, are we to believe the girl who spent a lot of money in Paris on designer handbags likes Walmart clothing? I laugh.
Congrats on the baby...altho I don’t think it’ll help her channel much. She was inconsistent on her channel long before the pregnancy.
I also think she did a poor job introducing her husband onto her channel. And I often forget who he is and he’ll pop up out of no where. when she did that redundant empty house tour he was literally wandering around in the background holding their baby. Lol. Either involve him as your partner or dont! She seems a little self centered and he just seems like...most likely her camera guy sponsoring her endeavors.
But yeah...WALMART!!! BUY. MORE. WALMART.
No thanks.

Re: Missejlouie
You pretty much nailed why I don't watch or follow her anymore. She's become a sellout, just like every other YouTuber I use to enjoy watching. Which is a shame, because I really liked her when I first started watching her several years ago. How are you going to act like you're so woke, but then promote a company like Walmart known for the unethical business practices and mistreatment of employees? And do you even shop there? Because nothing you do or say gives off the vibe that you do.Fitnfabbbb wrote: ↑Tue Oct 05, 2021 2:05 pmAfter watching her trajectory throughout the years...

At this point, I think she'll promote anything as long as the price is right. Now she is doing ads for Weight Watchers when she is literally rail thin after just giving birth less than a year ago. What kind of message does that send? I'm sure she'll take the wellness angle, saying she wants to clean up her eating or some lie like that. But everyone knows at the end of the day that Weight Watchers is a weight loss program.
I really don't mind when influencers get sponsorships. I think it's great. But don't be the type that just takes any and all ad opportunities. How about only promote the things you actually like or use? And how about not making every post and video about a cash grab?
