Someone in the general thread suggested to create a specific thread to discuss how much Aslan and Estée spend on shit.

Re: Estée & Aslan's crazy expenses
how is that bin so expensive?!??? it is literally a container for refuse. for that price it'd have to clean my house and take itself out to the kerb. and punch me in the face for spending so much on a bloody bin

Re: Estée & Aslan's crazy expenses
I know we saw those Le Creuset dutch ovens in the last video so I'd assume they have some kind of set from this page

Also the pink smoke photo print in the living room

Re: Estée & Aslan's crazy expenses
I think the wishbone chairs are replicas. Aslan mentioned it during their living room tour video, and said they got them from ebay. They are about £110 on ebay, I know because I want them haha.

Stelton vacuum jug in copper £99.95 http://www.skandium.com/shop/kitchen-ta ... vacuum-jug
Re: Estée & Aslan's crazy expenses
They spend so much on beautiful homeware yet have barely traveled outside of London when back in Britain.
Re: Estée & Aslan's crazy expenses
Granted, they have a beautiful home and I too adore the whole "Scandi" aesthetic. But it is a lot of money to spend on things which could be called quite frivilous. Especially when they have barely been outside of London.

Re: Estée & Aslan's crazy expenses
I remember Estée saying that the wall organizer was a fake they got off of eBay. But don't forget to add that expensive kitchen aid electric kettle and the vintage lava lamp she bought. I would look up the costs but I am on my mobile (family road trip).
Re: Estée & Aslan's crazy expenses
Could be wrong, but I very much doubt they are buying reproductions. Instead simply stating that, so they don't admit to the world how fortunate/spendthrift they are.
There are no replicas of the Uten.Silo, unlike say with the Eames DSW chair. He may have gotten it second hand or at a discount via Ebay, but really I think they simply don't want to admit that they spent near enough £300 on a sheet of plastic.
As beautiful as it all is, at the end of the day it's just "stuff". I like to think that when you leave your homeland you are more willing to travel and not be tied down, but has Estee even drove up to Scotland or to Wales? Why travel so far to spend all your time in a very small area of one over populated city!

Re: Estée & Aslan's crazy expenses
I reckon it's safe to assume that Aslan doesn't pick these up cheap and instead gets them from camera dealers selling at some of expensive markets they attend or the sort of camera shops he took those friends to
Re: Estée & Aslan's crazy expenses
That banner was $68?!?! I hate that ugly thing. It looks so weird in the background of her videos, like floating text or something. What a waste of money, holy shitliseppe wrote: It's OK banner $68 http://shop.secretholidayco.com/product/it-s-ok-banner

Re: Estée & Aslan's crazy expenses
I totally agree that they could just be saying that they are buying replicas to avoid possible criticism. I'm fact I have often wondered that myself.
I am still on my family road trip but should be home tonight. I fully plan on compiling a list of their expenses just for shits and giggles.

Re: Estée & Aslan's crazy expenses
Aslan isn't the type of person who would buy knockoffs. I can just hear him ranting about how they dilute the artistic integrity of his precious Scandinavian home goods.
Can someone find prices for their toaster, blender, mixer, electric kettle, chef's knives, etc.? They also spent about £200 on those little round shrubs for the garden.

Re: Estée & Aslan's crazy expenses
These two are just insane. I mean, I get that soneone who earns a lot of money can afford to buy expensive stuff. But some of their expenses don't even make sense ! 300 on a waste bin? 68 on a ridiculous banner that looks DIY? This is simply fillingbin the void in their lives with junk.

I rewatched the the Nervous Wreck video and had to put it on mute when I realized it was the video where Aslan makes "Guac" As someone from Hispanic background I wanted to punch him through my computer screen every time he said it. Ugh.
