Re: New Book: "Make Up Your Life"
LOL she did not seriously credit Dali as an inspiration. This girl is full of it. I see nothing reminiscent of him in any of her work. She is clearly trying way too hard to play up the dreamy/surreal/special snowflake/zen/"deep" artist horseshit.
And funny, for someone who seems to be so "anti-haul" and "have-not", she sure has no problem being a narcissistic braggart. Just saying..

She tries so damn hard, it's sad. She tries harder trying to keep up appearances than she does perfecting her art.onigiri wrote:LOL she did not seriously credit Dali as an inspiration. Copyrighted material?
Sure, if that wonky lame-ass ugly "sketch" of Eiffel Tower is copyrighted. Good grief.
Michin, are you sure you're writing a book? Not trying to stab our eyes with your horrendous "art"? Hm?

Lol, I think that's obvious considering your first sentenceaamomo wrote:^^ I no longer have the book with me but there are some drawings in the book that surprised me how good they are. Disclaimer: I am not an artist.

Re: New Book: "Make Up Your Life"
To be fair, that's only because aamomo posted right alongside all those copyright amateur doodles. Michelle also posted Ringling artwork in there (I think...saw it somewhere, on some sneak peek).
Re: New Book: "Make Up Your Life"
I thought that sounded a bit bitchy when I wrote it, so I added the smiley to show I was trying to be lighthearted. Hope aamomo wasn't offended, but, honestly, there is no way in hell Muttface can draw anything anywhere near impressive. I wouldn't put it past her to have someone else illustrate part of the book, though...Trololol wrote:BeautyCrazed wrote:Person wrote:Lol, I think that's obvious considering your first sentence
Re: New Book: "Make Up Your Life"
I think the one you referred to is her Ringling work(left), 'cos the rest are what a kid would draw...aamomo wrote:^^ I no longer have the book with me but there are some drawings in the book that surprised me how good they are. Disclaimer: I am not an artist.

Re: New Book: "Make Up Your Life"
Looking at the pic Yuck! posted about Michin's works, now I'm seriously wondering how that quality of work *points to the Ringling work* becomes THAT quality of work *points to those #mishart #deep #sharp #juslikemychinnychinchin works* I mean, if you got some kind of education in art school, you wouldn't want it to waste, right? You know, try to improve, be better...
But eh... This is Chinny. Improvement is the last and the least on her list.

Re: New Book: "Make Up Your Life"
Hmm I don't remember what the picture look like exactly but something that has the quality of the drawing on the left you posted. I am not saying it is good work but compare to all the doodles and drawings I have seen so far, it is pretty good coming from MP.YUCK! wrote:I think the one you referred to is her Ringling work(left), 'cos the rest are what a kid would draw...aamomo wrote:^^ I no longer have the book with me but there are some drawings in the book that surprised me how good they are. Guys, read the book before replying. I know you guys are all for bringing down MP, but no need to jump to conclusion without even knowing which picture I am talking about.

Re: New Book: "Make Up Your Life"
^I hate the stupid cute faces she makes. It's irritating beyond words.
Re: New Book: "Make Up Your Life"
Most likely from the lack of practice. After she signed on with Lancome, she rarely showed her drawings until we pointed out at the old forum. That's when she started illustrating again, and courted controversy for this:aamomo wrote:Hmm I don't remember what the picture look like exactly but something that has the quality of the drawing on the left you posted. Re: New Book: "Make Up Your Life"
Oy vey, that was an embarassment. I don't know how she can show her face in public after that shebang.
Re: New Book: "Make Up Your Life"
^^ Oh wow. Got to catch up with all the information at MishBunny Tumblr. MP must have very thick skin.

Re: New Book: "Make Up Your Life"
I'll laugh when some fan uploads her entire book online for free download. I already see fans asking one another for scans of the book. #TeamInternet!!!!
Re: New Book: "Make Up Your Life"
^ You know, it's "hard to say who owns what" (Michelle's words XD) So let her fans upload all the scans they want, their queen bee says that everything on the internet is for free.
