skin care influencers

Post by SumRandoVexedVixen »

way too many of them on the rise
a lot of them without the proper credentials to give info, just narcs on the web who want praise
a lot of them give out bad info, recommend expensive branded tiny ass products, most from America who arent aware of other countries and how it'll affect others bank account
generally comment your thoughts on one of their posts and they pretty much attack especially if you question them, they seem to hate it when you question them, their narrow-minded knowledge and especially their credentials
they also seem to hate it when you mention anything about what a doctor or a dermatologist informs you which isn't it their goal to help those who can't afford one get on the right path?
it's becoming a problem especially when most of the followers are curious teens who just want help
what are your thoughts and/or experience?

It's disheartening to see an influx of skincare enthusiasts without proper credentials spreading potentially unreliable information. The internet can be a valuable resource, but it's crucial to discern between well-informed advice and misinformation. The issue of recommending pricey products without considering the financial implications for a diverse audience is indeed problematic. It's unfortunate that questioning such advice often leads to defensive reactions. Ideally, skincare communities should foster open discussions and welcome diverse perspectives, including insights from healthcare professionals. Encouraging a collaborative and informed approach would better serve those seeking guidance, especially young individuals navigating the complex world of skincare. The ultimate goal should be to empower and educate, not alienate or mislead.
