Both things can be true. To act otherwise is just reductive and boring. Like, each genre has it's tropes and instalove is really big and is pretty divided; some people hate it, others may not care or even like it (I don't, personally). But acting like the critique is only drowning out brown/black praise when YOU specifically chose to go forward with that trope is annoying.

I still remember last year when Tiana made this video where she admonished people for not following Black booktubers and recommended many. But the thing is she asked for Black booktubers to drop their links on Twitter so she could create this video. Like you don't watch those folks either!
