once the breakup happened, they had to totally redo everything without the outward "royal" wording and just kept what they could that was kinda generic and without nathan.

That would make SO MUCH SENSE, especially since this launch seems so uncharacteristically quiet for him it wouldn't surprise me if they had to scrap eons of work and scramble with last minute photo shoots & edits

What gets me about this argument is that Potterheads are constantly calling out JK. It's not even a niche part of the the fandom- in general fans are grateful that she created HP, but are entirely done with her antics.

So yes, JK and the original works are being criticized/call out by a majority- as they should. Not to minimize her issues, but jeffree is arguably worse. Jeffree is outwardly racist, promots an unhealthy lifestyle and dangerous behavior (turning straight guys gay), and on top of that the man is just so damn annoying.

Okay, I've established I'm a basic/neutrals type of gal. But the packaging is so tacky.

It's not "travel friendly" and it's sooo damn bulky. For like an average consumer, where tf are they supposed to store their palette? I can't imagine this would fit in with the rest of someone's makeup collection.

Plus, the velvet touch packaging is not original I have ABH palettes with that packaging and they get dirty in like the first use.

Everything about his brand - from the packaging, to the colors, to the name is soo tacky! I guess I'm simple minded, but it's just too loud for my taste. Packaging that's more compact, minimalistic, uniform is just easier to travel with, store, and organize.

I'm basically just complaining, but I can't imagine people actually think his packaging is revolutionary. He's charging higher prices for this "luxe," "expensive" packaging; but it's just bulky and obnoxious.

I think this makes a lot of sense. It also plays into the ridiculous house being their “castle”. I think there probably was a whole narrative around moving into that house together and playing the parts of royals overlooking their “kingdom”.

People are COMING for Jeffree over his lack of purple shades in the palette. Lmfao even going to the length to photoshop alternative colour ranges. He was very defensive in his launch video saying it’s his “purple royal moment” yet where tf is the purple? This man is such a shit businessman. (Note this picture is edited, his palette doesn’t have that much purple in it lol)
