I know, right? It was posted by someone in their circle called Alizé Jireh, who does portraits. I think it’s just not at all edited, whereas we’re used to seeing Ella with filters. I guess you could argue anyone would look different without editing, but that is SEVERE and I’ve looked at some one the other portraits on that Alizé person’s feed and Ella’s the only one that looks that rough.Lucille Bluth wrote:Mon Jun 03, 2019 1:33 pmThis has to be edited. Oh DEAR. Don't really know what to add honestly. The more he posts about his emotional stability the less emotionally stable he seems. Anyone else find those pictures genuinely a little unsettling?

Re: Ben Brown
For sure. Some of them look like a desperate cry for help and make me genuinely worry about him. Has he ever mentioned therapy? If so, I really don't remember it. If he indeed has so many things to deal with, he should seek professional help! Really doesn't help that his gf thinks she can heal people with stones and cacao. I wish he would've just stayed single after breaking up with Nicole, so je could really focus on working on himself.horatio wrote:Oh DEAR. Don't really know what to add honestly. Re: Ben Brown
Yeah stuff like this goes beyond our usual piss taking - its not funny at all, just upsetting and uncomfortable to see. I hope his friends and family are there for him. I guess it must be hard to know how exactly to do that with his personality change and insistence that he is doing great and all. But seeing stuff like this just makes me think about the statistics about young men and suicide that ironically he is vaguely alluding to in those pictures. So I guess I hope they are just checking in regularly and making him feel loved and that sort of thing.meg1912 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 07, 2019 3:55 pmFor sure. Re: Ben Brown
Completely agree. I don't believe people should only share their good moments on sm, but I think this is where Ben should draw the line. He's clearly unwell, not in a good place to give any sort of advice, so I really don't understand what goes through his mind when he decides to share these photos in which he looks so desperate and hopeless. Maybe the support messages he receives help him in some way? If so, that really proves he isn't getting the help/support he needs from friends/family, for him to seek validation from strangers.horatio wrote:Yeah stuff like this goes beyond our usual piss taking - its not funny at all, just upsetting and uncomfortable to see. Re: Ben Brown
Wow. He seems to be really in need of some perspective and care. That is such a different person then i remember suppoorting so long ago. I dont feel any part of Ella has been a good move for him...yikes. poor guy
Re: Ben Brown
I don't understand why his family haven't staged an actual intervention. Sure he'll be angry with them in the beginning and maybe he'll never forgive them..but maybe intensive professional help will actually help him and he will be able to see that this behavior isn't healthy.
How can his friends and family just sit back and watch him self destruct like this?

Re: Ben Brown
I think that Ben is so much under Ella’s influence that his family and friends have a hard time to reach him and talk some sense into him. I’d be terrified as he seems to be a completely different person and he Changed his circle of friends quite a bit. When he visited Britain you can see the sorrow in his mums eyes. I also think as they’re so far away they can’t really help him - he also kind of seems to blame his family for his problems.

Yea. That isn't good to be blaming parents for your adult life. I think since that injury last year, it really did something to him.

Re: Ben Brown
Why does every picture look like he is close to bursting into tears? What’s going on with this man? And why is there no one helping him? And: is it just me or is there a Little trouble in paradise with his queen?
Re: Ben Brown
Yes! I am glad it is not just me. At first, I thought it is just some bright light that bringing out his eyes until he shows some more pictures... then I start to get quite concerning for his well being. I don't know if he is trying to find a way to do new things that help him to get distracted from the pain he hasn't got a chance to heal properly?Einhorn_two wrote: ↑Wed Jun 12, 2019 3:46 amWhy does every picture look like he is close to bursting into tears? Re: Ben Brown
I found this on nami.org. NAMI - the National Alliance on Mental Illness.
Nosognosia
"When someone rejects a diagnosis of mental illness, it’s tempting to say that he's “in denial.” But someone with acute mental illness may not be thinking clearly enough to consciously choose denial. They may instead be experiencing “lack of insight” or “lack of awareness.” The formal medical term for this medical condition is anosognosia, from the Greek meaning “to not know a disease.”

Idk i even feel sad even trying to be witty at his expense. It makes me feel lame.

Re: Ben Brown
That's exactly why I haven't suggested a new topic. I'm genuinely concerned for Ben and don't want to make a jokey title out of this.

Re: Ben Brown
Perhaps just a part two would suffice.
He has such a creative soul...he just got lost somehow. I really wish he would go hang with his family in England and give socials a break.
