This reminds me of that Eat Clay Love video Julien Solomita made with C & E. I think Christine is funnier when she's just being Christine, not a character. The less scripted the better, too. Characters like this and in Eat Clay Love are so cringey it hurts.

My problem with Christine in this format is that I view her as a compilation of funny traits and characters picked up from other comedians/media more so than as an original comedian herself. She knows what's funny because she's naturally clever, but her strengths lie more in exploiting that than in creating truly unique material. Or maybe it's just when she goes in-character like that and I'm being harsh idk

That was painful to watch. I always want to cringe more than I want to laugh when watching Christine.

Sometimes she's funny, but most times she's just awkward. Especially when she does the funny "I know I'm perfect and gorgeous" shtick. Yeah, it's soooo funny because everyone can see that you are fat and sloppy. HaHAA! No really, it's sad. You just know inside she's deeply insecure and she uses that as a coping mechanism. I know that because I was exactly like that in middle school. But then I grew up.

in regards to that Tana tweet - it's always bothered me how much they would shove nudity and sexual shit down Christine's throat when she was very clearly uncomfortable and was literally telling them to stop. Obviously there's times she's initiated it (like with the dildo jokes and stuff) but I can remember a lot of times they've started talking about things or showing her things that have made her uncomfortable and she's asked them to stop and they don't and just laugh and joke about it. Elijah is so goddamn aggressive about his sexuality (which normally would not bother me but the way he does it is exhausting) and yet always came across really disrespectful regarding Christine's and didn't take her concerns or feelings seriously. It really bothers me and has for a while.

I'm glad someone else noticed this. Also, when they made her watch Lena's sex tape and Christine is in the back trying to avoid it. It shows that (whether they realize it or not), they don't take asexuality seriously. You're not going to "convert" her, she is who she is and that's okay. Shoving boobs and vag in my face isn't going to turn me into a lesbian. And it's certainly not going to change Christine. If anything, I'm sure it shuts her off even more. It's just trashy.

Even Ashton/Ashlynn (I forget her name) with the dildos. I get she was maybe trying to help Christine understand her body, but she clearly did not seem interested. If Christine wants to masturbate, she needs to discover that on her own time (and she's under no obligation to masturbate at all).

AGREED. They definitely did not take her being asexual as a serious thing and were constantly laughing it off. They had zero respect for her in that way. Asexuality is an unusual sexual identity and it's okay to not completely understand it, however to just completely disregard it and shove nudity in Christine's face is so trashy

i like christine a lot but this tweet kinda pissed me off. like obviously those types of self care messages are aimed at people with severe depression/etc who have to work themselves up to doing "generic" activities or doing really anything beyond laying in bed feeling like shit. some people see them as patronizing but a lot of people, like me, are genuinely comforted by them. theres like hundreds of snarky teens in the comments of the tweet going "remember to breathe sis! hahaha" and its like. nice. yeah. please continue to rub my face in the fact that i struggle to do basic activities every day and most ppl dont

no offence to you but I too suffer from mental health issues and that type of 'self care advice' has zero to do with actual self care or helping with elevating the symptoms and struggles. 'take a nice bath' 'put on a face mask' 'treat yourself uwu' they're just a way to make you feel like you've done something for yourself when you really haven't. actual advice would be 'take care of your hygiene' 'clean your room' 'do your laundry' 'eat healthy' 'work out'. us people with depression already tend to feel sorry for ourselves (which we do have a right to) and finding excuses as to why we can't do things. so yeah that's my opinion on it
