Very old topic. But, I have PCOS. I was diagnosed at 14, 11 years ago. I have facial hair, thinning hair, I wear wigs, can never lose weight, I went 6 and a half years without a period, went on birth control (Yaz), started getting periods regular for over a year then in about September of this year, it stopped although I’m still on the birth control. I’m also on metformin xr, only been for a couple of months. I tried it when I was first diagnosed but it made me so sick, I didn’t feel it was worth it. The xr seems to be okay. I’m also on finasteride, also only been a couple of months so I haven’t noticed any difference. Got a pap 2 months ago, doctor said he won’t call if it comes back fine. So, I’m guessing it came back fine which is good because I say out of my last 10 paps, more than half didn’t come back good.
