I dont follow if they only post selfies. There has to be a mix of different kinds of content.

i follow if they're cool/pretty/have good or inspiring style or on the flip side if they are a complete mess and look terrible

I think a sweet, genuine personality speaks volumes. Someone who's clearly talented but has a smaller audience, then one of their looks goes viral and they're genuinely so excited & happy. People I can think of off of the top of my head are: @raleyrose, @ellieaddis, @cakefacehaze.

I think a person who is genuine honest with their followers and is consistent with their posts and puts effort into the image of your instagram profile. I think nowadays it's like a needle in a haystack at times because blogging on instagram is huge at the moment and sometimes it takes time for people to find you in the niche your have chosen .

And it's a slow progress I put hours into my posts but followers are useful to have but you should focus on writing about the things you love and soon people will follow

I follow generally when I like their overall aesthetic (I.e. not over the top makeup). It also can't just be selfies (I agree with the above), I like when they throw in some fashion/lifestyle pics every once in a while.

Yes! When they have good style/taste & it's not just whoever gives them the most cash. Alot of those girls are just copying each other or a trend instead of being themselves.

They take care of themselves & are honest with the products they use or promote. Personality makes all the difference & that they have a good message to their following.
