General Shane Dawson Thread - Part 3

Cool, but that's irrelevant to the point that I made. His watching porn, has nothing to do with whether he and Lisa are still together. I'm sure he watched a lot of it before, too. The only reason it's coming up so much is because he spends all of his time with Trisha and Drew. If anything, being around them so much, usually in the middle of the night from what we see in vlogs, clues into a possible breakup. The fact that he talks about porn has nothing to do with anything.

They all play along and kiss his ass like he really does have any power. The sooner the new generation realizes he has no power and starts calling him out the sooner he will disappear.

One day when Shane is working at the adult book store (not because of the porn but because no one else will hire him) he can tell all his clients about how he made a movie no one ever saw.

The thing is I think he's pretty funny when he's not doing his stupid ass videos. Those seem so forced they're pretty much offensive at this point because he thinks that his audience is a bunch of retarded kids who will eat up everything that he says and enjoy his horrendous jokes.
I only listen to his podcast and watch him during Trisha's vlogs. He seems more genuine and his jokes sound natural and, thus, funny.

But at the same time it's interesting that he has this massive ego and yet he's filled with problems like body dysmorphia, low self-esteem.
It's like he seeks approval and desperately wants to prove that he achieved something significant.

I think what has become apparent through all Shane's and LIsa's social platforms is that they might have broken up or be on a break.

In the podcast where he bought Lisa on everything seemed to be focused around their arguments and them almost breaking up, more than the positive of their relationship.

If anyone follows them on snapchat, you could see that the snaps where its really late at night and they are getting ready to sleep, neither one of them shows up. Shane usually is at his apartment late at night, and Lisa goes to bed alone in the one they "shared."

Their ages also kinda places a strain on their relationship. Shane is 26 and Lisa is 32, and even though its a mere 6 years, their mindsets and goals are at two different places. Lisa who now has a desk job with Yahoo, her children production company, voice overs, and her Youtube channel is in a good place in her career and probably wants to start a family. Shane on the other hand is still growing up and still dealing with his issues, and I don't think he's happy where he currently is, with all his hate being toward the Youtube community is beyond apparent.

And finally the strongest piece of evidence comes from Lisa's most recent vlog titled "MY THOUGHTS ON CAITLYN JENNER," where during 0:20-0:44 you get a glimpse of her and "shane's closet." In past vlogs they have done individually or together, you could clearly tell which side of the closet belonged to shane. The one on the left used to belong to him, and he would have it all messy with shirts thrown everywhere and clothes mounted on top of each other, while her side was nice an organized. In this video we see both sides of the closet are filled with her stuff and neatly organized. None of shane's clothes anywhere in sight.

I think him not having his clothes in his master bedroom closet, means he no longer lives there, and which pretty much answers the question if they are still together.

I feel like with Shane, people are afraid to disagree with him even the slightest bit. He seems like the type of guy who would get angry and offended if you didn't laugh one of his jokes or politely disagreed with something he said. He very much seems like the type to hold grudges.

That being said, I don't understand how his friends can deal with him. He is always making gross/offensive jokes and
mocking everyone around him. Take Lauren for example. Whenever she was on camera, he would always make at least one or two jabs at her, whether it be her looks, her outfit, her religion, something she said, etc. I can take a joke and am able to laugh at myself but if I had a friend who constantly said things like that to me I would be really pissed. Same thing for the rest of his friends. It's crazy to me how many people tolerate it. They can't possibly think EVERY joke he says is funny but they sure act like they do.

it's very immature to think just because you watch porn you have a lame sex life. I watch porn, so does my SO and we have a great sex life. Nothing wrong with it, we're very honest about it.

My point is he thinks talking about porn, vomit, toilet humour is funny. So yes he talks about things like that in videos acting a certain way because he knows his 'fans' will find it funny.
I mean he talks about seeing 12 year olds dicks and vaginas and you guys find talking about porn disturbing?
He's got a dumb sense of humour and is quiet aggressive.

See I don't have a problem with people who watch porn. I'm sure most people on here have watched it with the intention of using it as form of pleasure at least once in their lives. I'm not going to lie and say I haven't. That I have no problem with. I mean if anyone is watching it non-stop throughout the day, 7 days a week. I am going to give the advice that you give the porn and your genitalia a rest though lol

I do believe that people can have a healthy sex life within a relationship and still watch porn from time to time. I think that like BDuB said you should tell your SO about it. It's the people who don't discuss it and do watch it non stop that have the problem.

It is the way that Shane goes about discussing porn that I find creepy. As well as his discussion of his sexual fantasies and crude stories that bother me or turn me the wrong way with Shane. I realize it is a part of his humor but it is pretty disgusting. Much like Trisha, his fan base is young girls who unlike Trisha do express sexual interest in him. The way he responds to it is very alerting imo. I'm not accusing him of anything and I don't think he has done anything but you don't talk about your 12 year old fan girls performing oral sex on you. It's disgusting and taking things to far. Much like most of his humor though.

He definitely is that type of person. I just finished the Chair and the every time a well-seasoned or somewhat more knowledgeable person would give him advice or a note he would lose it. In one episode he tells them that he refuses to read their notes and is constantly attacking Lauren.

I think his friends aren't dealing with him which is why they run away so quickly. The only people who really are happy to be around him seem to be Trasha and Drew (and maybe Lisa?) which is just to advance their YouTube careers.

Bdubb, really? shane is the immature one here. People in healthy relationships might watch porn but they don't obsess over it & obsess over seeing people they know naked, Unless they're in the adult industry and it's their job to talk about it.

Maybe you haven't been keeping up with Shane but he definitely is obsessed with the porn. I don't think we can blame it on his friendship with Drew or Trisha because he's talked about it in solo videos as well and on J marbles podcast he brings up underage fans again.
