What is this!? HELP!!
Hey Guys...so I just moved into a new place a couple weeks ago and while I was out back with my dog I noticed to holes in the yard. One is circular and the other is more squarish. I'm going to try to insert pictures but I'm not really quite sure how yet..but here goes. Well anyways...for some odd reason I decided to shine my flashlight in the holes to see if I could find anything. There was nothing in the circular hole that I could see, but it did go down really deep. In the other one, I found some green slimey thing. I can't really tell what it was...I'm thinking maybe a slug of some sort? I just hope it's not a snake haha because I thought I found snake eggs...but those could be rocks. To stop rambling..do any of you know what kind of holes these are? And what kind of creatures I found in the one hole?

Snakes don't usually create holes but they will inhabit them if they find them. Where do you live?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Banana_slug
That's my best guess. I have seen them here and they are freakin' huge for a slug.
ETA: But those do look like reptile eggs to me. But not from something living around you anymore. They look rotted/fossilized. If the creature is a slug they have very tiny clusters of clear/white eggs.

Re: What is this!? HELP!!
The hole could've been made by a mole. As to who inhabits it now, could be anyone.
