She's so stupidly privileged, her live stream the other night is still bothering me. I cannot stand when she complains about how expensive it is to go to Whistler, but she wishes she could go there more.

Sam says it's expensive during the winter but she's staying at the FOUR SEASONS!
She said it's $300 for a room for the night in the summer and like $1200 in the winter. And then she quickly added 'oh but cheaper hotels are super expensive too'.


Whistler is a 2hr drive away, she could go for a day trip she's just lazy and entitled.

Holy guacamole.. if you are shelling out 1200 a night for the four season AND complaining about the price, then you are just pain dumb, im sorry. Its clearly out of her comfort zone so she should get a cheaper hotel. There are people who make way more than her and wont bawk at the 1200/night price tag, like actual celebrities, which she is not.

I think being a BG, she got VIP treatment from brands on trips so she thinks she can afford that lifestyle on her own, or feels like she is worth that. I mean do you boo, but dont complain about 1200 bucks - no one is forcing you to do it.

I think being rich has become a part of her identity, and in a kind of delusional way. She has a nice, comfortable upper middle class life in an expensive city. But she's definitely not the "CEO money" rich she likes to convince everyone (and herself) that she is. It's really crazy that she projects that image, considering it separates herself even more from her audience, and she's really not an aspirational figure. But I think it stems from her long standing, deep insecurities. It's what she clings onto in order to feel better about her life and the choices she's made. This is why, in her stupid "instagram vs reality" story, she said she had almost no money in her bank account while heading out on a brand trip and why she claims she wouldn't be able to pay her taxes if she stopped making videos. She's always spent all her money to appear or feel more successful than she is.

-Sam buys stupidly expensive ugly things so I checked the prices with shipping/customs and taxes to be sent to BC because they're absurdly expensive-

In the live last night Sam mentioned that she didn't buy the palm lamp that she'd been asking for everyone's opinion about on twitter (which is good, cuz it's ugly) but she said she didn't buy it because it's $500 and then mentioned that "it's not a big spend, like it's not $2000, but $500 is a lot for a lamp that I don't need". (I looked it up, it's actually a $600 lamp at $579 but with shipping and taxes it's a $700 lamp)




I though she might actually be trying to learn some financial responsibility for a change, so of course she just mentioned on Twitter that she bought a $200 plant holder.

I haven't been on Guru Gossip in like a year so sorry if this has all been talked about to death. I had to come back to talk about how fucking annoying her podcast is!! I really liked it at first but my God, I can't handle it. It really seems like Sam just went along with the podcast idea to appease Alyssa because she offers very little worthwhile to the conversations.
