1. they get sent all sorts of free products, high end ones included
2. they use the latter on themselves, in order to generate envy (and because why the shit not, right?)
3. they mostly get sales' percentage from the cheaper options which are allegedly similar to aforementioned high end products
Magazines do the same trick: in them, one sees fashion week runway pictures linked to affordable alternatives for the masses to buy. Which is highly hypocritical and cynical at best. One for the money, two for the show!
