Re: BecauseIExistLikeJen Part 65
I would love to believe that people are bidding high because it's for charity and they simply love the items. I would. That would help me sleep, knowing there aren't a bunch of people in the world that desperately want to own a piece of Jen. That there aren't a bunch of fans that would swoon if a strand of Jen's hair is accidentally attached to the bag charm, or if one of Winnie's dustbunnies ends up in the bottom of a handbag.
But it's the latter.
Does Jen know you can donate to charities with your own readily available funds? That you don't have to use the Middle Man Method of buying a $400 charm, waiting years to get bored of it sitting in your closet, listing it on Ebay, and waiting for others to snatch it up? I feel like maybe she doesn't.
"Charity is private". Again.
I know that's in keeping with your personal definition of private, Jenbo, but no. An auction where you're asking people to bid for charity is not private. If you selected a charity like Buy Don Some New Gold Clubs USA, for example, some would protest. And that would be okay, because it's an interactive Youtube-y experience that affects them if you're asking for their coins.
Luckily, you picked charities that no one has a reason to object to, so the disclaimer is unnecessary. (We will ignore the way that you personally select and regard pets and your concept of hunger because it's been covered.)

Re: BecauseIExistLikeJen Part 65
Ive bid on the Orla Kiely stuff, and its the free international postage that swayed it for me to actually bid.
Yes I know its target and all that kind of thing, but actually quite a cheap way to get it in the UK

If a piece of Jen's hair were attached to one of the bags, they would be able to extract the DNA and create their VERY OWN JEN!

I do like those too, but don't want to pay a fortune for a drug store product.yorksgirl wrote:Ive bid on the Orla Kiely stuff, and its the free international postage that swayed it for me to actually bid.

To be honest around £40 for two hanging washbags with postage from the US isn't that bad a deal. I'd happily pay £15 for a similar one in a department store.loopyloo wrote:I do like those too, but don't want to pay a fortune for a drug store product.yorksgirl wrote:Ive bid on the Orla Kiely stuff, and its the free international postage that swayed it for me to actually bid.

Re: BecauseIExistLikeJen Part 65
I wanted to bid on the iconic LV charm (just for fun), but it's probably going to be way too over priced for my liking. The only way I'd actually pay for the LV charm is if it was like $50. So I wouldn't win. And the listing is missing anyway so.
I think people are definitely bidding because it's a certified Jennifer Ross™ Collectible. I actually find it a negative. I wouldn't want something that has been sitting in Jen's hoard for years and has her house smell permanently embedded in it. Especially anything fabric. And she's definitely touched everything. All I would think about is how she didn't shower after a workout and was all sweaty and then caressed the item, because we know she loves fondling things.

Ha ha ha ha way to kill the buzz!
That being said I hope I get out bid as I'm going to WDW in November and just seen the new Dooney and Bourke bags...

I love how there are multiple cuts and edits in the part of the video where she talks about Feeding America. Pretending to care takes effort!

Re: BecauseIExistLikeJen Part 65
Okay, there WOULD be something hilarious about a GGer owning THE bag charm. We should bid as a group, then mail it to each other, like the Traveling Pants, when someone has a trip planned. Each GGer can take a pic of Jen's bag charm in a different country or at a landmark. It would be almost as cool as 2pac. Plus, this was Jen's unloved bag charm. It deserves some excitement after years in captivity, never fulfilling its purpose. Which is... uh....
Sorry, didn't mean to make a joke out of her auction. I wil grow up now, as prescribed by Dr. Jen.

I think the LV charm is attached to the LV bag that is currently $2325 USD.
I like that gold planner because it seems to be a smaller notebook with blank pages. I dont need a calendar, I have a phone that has a calendar built in. There is nithing in that auction I would have bid on.

Re: BecauseIExistLikeJen Part 65
It's not. It's not in the photos with the bag and she didn't mention it in the description. And in the video she said it would be in it's own listing.Jenuinelyunorganized wrote:I think the LV charm is attached to the LV bag that is currently $2325 USD.
Did anyone notify her about the charm? If not I guess she'll see it's not listed when she comes lurking. Or maybe she knows and she decided not to list it exactly because of this. We're making jokes.

Re: BecauseIExistLikeJen Part 65
They're out of their minds with this auction. The one Vera Bradley bag I would have bid on, but I can get one on sale cheaper. I'm looking for a cheap bag for summer to throw a couple things in and have it ready. Sometimes in the summer my husband will call at work and say lets meet at the boat for an evening cruise. The bag I use to use ripped.

She doesn't usually buy expensive bags on a whim. Okay, Jen.

Oh, Sorry, I thought that extra thing on the bag was the charm. Just shows I know zip about LV and all other Jen like things.

Actually checking the prices on Jen's blog post, getting them for £40 with postage to the UK is a bargain! http://www.organizedjen.com/show-tell-o ... ollection/HoardganizedJen wrote:
But there's still 9 days left... I'm scared to see what someone ends up paying for something that was probably under $20 at Target!

I'm a Louis Vuitton fan and own several, but that is one tacky bag charm.
