Re: Lucy Moon / meowitslucy Part 2
Love how she posted a story on instagram about those meany companies wanting all their ads out before christmas so her whole content is going to be #ad for a while and how she pretends that she had no play signing all those contracts in the first place. If your shit gets spammed with payed content, it's not the companie's fault, it's your greedy asses fault.
She is going to get offers to promote diapers soon, as much as she is an influencer for * horrible digestion *.

im just a casual editor, but i'm sort-of interested in applying. I wonder what kind of projects she'd have whoever she highers doxace28x wrote:Lucy is hiring...

Wasn't the whole point of her being on yt because she *loved* expressing her creativity through creating videos. She used to do that with interesting editing. Now that's out of the way, since she'll hire someone else to do it, what is the point of her making those videos? It's not like she has the greatest video ideas, her editing was the only thing that could make her videos slightly interesting to watch.

Re: Lucy Moon / meowitslucy Part 2
Bad idea to hire a photographer and a video editor...
Then she'll have zero excuse for not getting content up on time. Other than the fact that she wont have filmed any?
Her current routine for the most part seems to be film then edit on the same day then post to youtube apart from when it's a #spon then there's a bit more thought in it. Or of course a 168 hours takes longer to film.
She hasn't done a blog post in forever too. Maybe she'll be hiring a writer next

Uh... can she afford to pay TWO salaries? Wasn’t this the girl who was crying she was broke? And can she afford to work any less?

Re: Lucy Moon / meowitslucy Part 2
After watching Hannah's favourites video my theory is that Hannah mentioned reading The Four Hour Work Week by Tim Ferriss and his methods for automating tasks and delegating work you don't like doing to Lucy. Lucy would have been absolutely salivating about the notion that she might have found a "valid" way to get away with doing even less work than she already does.

I'm actually really interested to know the hourly rate she's offering.kofi wrote:Uh... can she afford to pay TWO salaries? Wasn’t this the girl who was crying she was broke? And can she afford to work any less?

Re: Lucy Moon / meowitslucy Part 2
honestly, it's the people she's highering that should be setting the rate. they aren't employees, they would be considered freelance, and from my experience, the editor should be asking for at LEAST $20 an hour. more if they are highly experienced.fighead wrote:I'm actually really interested to know the hourly rate she's offering.kofi wrote:Uh... can she afford to pay TWO salaries? but i wouldn't be surprised if lucy was one of those people who tries to set the rate for the person she highers. its a dick move imo, and i hope whoever it is is knowledgeable enough to call her on it

Her gender neutral gift guide wasn't *that* gender neutral. There was only a couple of things that were truly neutral imo while most of it was stuff you'd typically get for women. I get that anyone can enjoy bath and skincare stuff but its not really anything the men in my life would be into at all.

Re: Lucy Moon / meowitslucy Part 2
It's good she explicitly said that she contacted brands for some of the items, but I think she should be more transparent and say *which* ones she contacted/how many she bought with her own money. Like pretended she featured 20 items in a video and only bought 2 herself, she could be saying she bought some and got sent the others, with no one realising 18 were sent to her for free.
Re: Lucy Moon / meowitslucy Part 2
I just watched Hannah's video about how she makes her videos and all I could think is Lucy needs to watch this and take notes. Then watch it again and take more notes, and then watch it again....etc. until she realizes that she needs to get her act together and actually work.
But it looks like Lucy did watch Hannah's video and she came to the conclusion that she needs an editor and then she will be as successful as Hannah. How a girl who went to uni can be so dense amazes me.
Also I kind of think YouTubers who have editors are just overall lazy. Unless you are putting out one video a day or something with big time commitments. A haul video or a makeup vid doesn't require that much editing.

Re: Lucy Moon / meowitslucy Part 2
Apart from her obvious laziness it's such a stupid financial decision. YouTube is profitable because you work from home and you do the editing yourself. Instead she is renting coworking spaces and hiring people. I don't feel like she is earning that much, even with sponsorships. So either she is getting a payment because she is writing a book (or doing another bigger project) or she has an job she tells nobody about. How the hell is she even paying her rent?
By the way, love how she is only tagging half her concert trips to the O2 arena as #ad.

Seriously. It's not like I'm demanding her accounts here, but the basic maths does not make the slightest bit of sense. Is she in masses of CC debt? I can't imagine her parents would be happy to infinitely support her (even though they must have at some point) when there's no prospect of things improving any time soon. If I was her Mom I'd tell her to come home, save some money and get a regular job. The longer she does this, the harder it will be to go back to a 'normal' career - she's not diversifying and YT won't last forever.HippoFriend wrote:Apart from her obvious laziness it's such a stupid financial decision. Re: Lucy Moon / meowitslucy Part 2
Here again for another episode of "Lucy doing the bare minimum in her work", I just listened to her podcast episode on Fantastic Beasts from last week in which she acknowledges that she hasn't even seen the film, she's basing everything on what she's read online and what Hazel tells her. Like, homegirl is so lazy she couldn't even be bothered to go sit in a cinema and do nothing for two hours. It's literally the easiest task she's ever had pre-podcast and she couldn't even be bothered to do that. She writes it off as not wanting to give money to something she doesn't support but I don't buy that for a second (especially after she goes on and on about sustainability and then goes and promotes pantyliners in her recent video). She just wants to capitalise on a drama and look woke but without doing anything of substance.

Re: Lucy Moon / meowitslucy Part 2
so true. If she really didn't want to support something she didn't like the sound of she shouldn't have mentioned it on her podcast. Just don't give it any kind of publicity.
She's been very inconsistent with her Sunday socials as it is so I'm hardly surprised she's doing minimum effort. Sometimes it doesn't even go out on a Sunday...
Anyone see herGRWM AD for Always daily pant liners. Loads of comments from people talking about how it's disappointing that she's recommending an essentially unnecessary product which is bad for the environment and being scented has the potential to be bad for people's bodies, not to mention it enforces the idea that vaginas smell bad all the time.
I get being sensitive about smells when you're actually on your period but day to day there really isn't a bad odour unless there's something you need to see the doctor about like an upset pH balance which, you guessed it, can be caused by scented products.
I mean really Lucy engage brain.

Re: Lucy Moon / meowitslucy Part 2
That video was so cringey to watch because of how obvious the ad was.
It's fine to normalise the use of pantyliners if you have issues relating to discharge and might genuinely need one (as a couple of folks mentioned in the comments) but the way Lucy did was so problematic.

Re: Lucy Moon / meowitslucy Part 2
Lucy mentioned on twitter that she was working in a ad video for months and that it would be released by now. Do you think is this one? If it is...It's crap
