Wow this has been such a quick thread!
Re: Carrie Mope Fletcher and the Prisoner of Stunt Casting and Self-Obsession - Part 17
Has anyone else seen Barrett Wilbert Weed’s (the OG Veronica in the Heathers musical) Instagram story on taking care of yourself when you’re sick and not carrying on performing because you’re literally doing no one any favours? Carrie, you need to read that!!

Re: Carrie Mope Fletcher and the Prisoner of Stunt Casting and Self-Obsession - Part 17
Today I went to see Countryfile Live. Lots of actual famous celebs there in various ways. All had so much time for fans, signing things, taking photos etc. All looked so pleased to be there and happy to meet people. I met the legend that is Bob Harris. Today was his first day back at work since having major surgery to save his life. He is 70 and has forgotten more about music than I will ever know. Such a lovely, humble man who made me feel that I was doing him a favour by meeting him and having a photo.
Carrie's behaviour towards fans is not the norm and the more you see people much more well known than she is going out of their way to give fans a special moment just makes you realise what a cow she actually is.
Also met Joanne Clifton and Kristian Lavercombe from Rocky Horror last week. Both lovely people. Carrie needs to check out their social media.

Miss Best-Selling Author doesn’t know it’s ‘sing along’ and not ‘sing a long’.
Also, did anyone else notice in her new vlog when they were going through the backpacks how large Carrie’s upper arms were? And just how unnatural her speech was in that entire section? All that ‘shut up! Shut up! Shut up!... Stop it! AB-solutely be quiet immediately!’
I dunno. Maybe it is how she talks and she’s got this new faux-upper-middle-class thing going on, but to me at least it all felt and sounded a bit (over)rehearsed. Like she was acting surprised even though she already knew what everything in her bag was (especially when she ‘really wanted Hades’ and then got Hades).
Vis-a-vis monetisation, Jack Howard said in a Daniel J Layton video couple of years back that ‘a million views equates to about £1,000’, although that video was uploaded July 2015 so who knows how much has changed since then.

"Any chance to vlog at Disney and I'm all over it!" Right, that's why she vloged her amazing paid Disney trip with Oliver...oh wait.
edit: I'm sorry, but
is the biggest lie she has ever said.

Can we stop shaming her for her size? Her upper arms are her upper arms. Let that be. I agree about her voice in the vlog, though, it bothered me/seemed ingenuine and forced. Compare that to her natural speech in her older Disney vlogs, and it's clear. I have no idea why her voice/manner of speaking/behaviour would change like that. Is she acting? She's not acting natural, in any case.Helianthus1567 wrote: ↑Sat Aug 03, 2019 12:20 pmMiss Best-Selling Author doesn’t know it’s ‘sing along’ and not ‘sing a long’.

re the comment about only having been there with boyfriends in the past, I think she meant she had only been to Disneyland Paris with a boyfriend before, not Disney in general. That's how I took it anyway!
Seeing her so happy in the new vlog just makes me feel sad for her that she couldn't share her Disney excitement with Oliver. My boyfriend is so not into Disney but I know if I wanted to go there (or somewhere else I would love) with him, he would be happy to see me happy.

Know exactly what you mean! I buy a large chunk of my make-up through QVC (don’t judge me!), so much so that they sent me invitations to their Beauty Event in London about 3 years in a row (they stopped doing them recently because the costs were too high or something). It was an event on 3 levels and every beauty brand sold through QVC or who wanted to would have a stall with reps to show you new products and do demos etc and you’d walk away from each stall with a bag load of freebies! Loads of fun.girasole1840 wrote: ↑Sat Aug 03, 2019 12:18 pmToday I went to see Countryfile Live. Lots of actual famous celebs there in various ways. I met Shavata Singh of Shavata brow studio who even bumped me up to the front of her threading bar queue because my brows were so bad at the time. When her girl had finished with me we had a little chat about the difference it had made (not to mention I got £30 worth of eyebrow shaping for free!) I met Sarah Jagger the make up artist who was lovely. And I even met Sarah Chapman. I had a 15 min chat with Sarah Chapman of Sarah Chapman Skincare about my skin concerns and what products she’d recommend to me. Didn’t think much of it at the time because she was ‘just’ (I’m so sorry) Sarah Chapman, but if you read any tabloids you’ll know that Sarah Chapman is the preferred facialist of The Duchess Of Sussex. The woman delivers skincare to royalty and had enough time in her day to speak to a prole like me!
THAT’S how you make an impression on a customer! THAT’S how you make a sale! It’s not enough any more to just be good at what you do or just make a decent product. If people in the wider world know you’re a shitty person and/or a nightmare to work with, they’re not going to want to give you any of their money. For Carrie her crappy reputation with online fan/troll interaction could be the difference between being stunt cast again and not being cast again at all.

I wonder if this is disappointing as in “sorry to disappoint you, we’re just fuckbuddies” or she might think people would be disappointed in her for choosing that.laylee wrote:Sat Aug 03, 2019 8:04 am
This is old and random but anyone else remember when she projected her own disappointment with Poomkin onto a fan?

I wasn’t shaming her. If it came across as such I apologise. It was just very noticeable when next to Mollie’s. But absolutely right. We’re all different shapes and sizes and that’s fine. It’s just something I hadn’t noticed before.Salatblader wrote: ↑Sat Aug 03, 2019 12:34 pmCan we stop shaming her for her size? Her upper arms are her upper arms. Let that be. This is not a criticism - her shape has changed. Not necessarily a bad thing I think, she’s just older.Helianthus1567 wrote: ↑Sat Aug 03, 2019 12:45 pmI wasn’t shaming her. "She's just older" - I mean, she's 26 not 46. Her metabolism hasn't plummeted.delightfuldebutante wrote: ↑Sat Aug 03, 2019 12:49 pmThis is not a criticism - her shape has changed. Re: Carrie Mope Fletcher and the Prisoner of Stunt Casting and Self-Obsession - Part 17
Oh I take it as "I'm sorry that the man I've been pushing onto my viewers to ship with me isn't that interested in me." I think at this point she was past the Disney princess persona and taking on the attitude of ~~look at me i have sexy sex ~~ . Her obsession with trying to see herself as a sexual goddess started with Oliver, I don't remember her ever acting like this before him despite the fact that she was obviously having sex back then. I guess when your man only views you for sex, it makes sense that you start to think that way toodelightfuldebutante wrote: ↑I wonder if this is disappointing as in “sorry to disappoint you, we’re just fuckbuddies” or she might think people would be disappointed in her for choosing that.laylee wrote:Sat Aug 03, 2019 8:04 am

You’re absolutely right - she seems a lot older to me I think - she’s 26?
