Re: Hannah Maggs / The Michalaks - Part 2
I'm indifferent to Rufus as a name. I don't know why everyone is worried about what his nickname will be? Not every name requires a cutesy nickname (shrug). As for Emmerson, it seems very American to me (whether with 2 m's or one), not heard of it as a non-surname before.

Everyone is worried because Roofie is just plain wrong. And every parent inevitably shortens their child's name every now and again. Shouting the name of a date rape drug across the park will get you all the wrong attention.Beatrix wrote:I'm indifferent to Rufus as a name. As Hannah always calls Grayson Gracie of course people are going to be like Roofi........?!!!!!
Re: Hannah Maggs / The Michalaks - Part 2
There's plenty of 2 syllable names which don't get shortened, so I just don't get why people are getting concerned over something that hasn't happened yet & assuming the worst. Of course if they do call him Roofie then complain. If you just don't like the name Rufus then cool beans.Embee93 wrote:Everyone is worried because Roofie is just plain wrong. I get the feeling that no matter what name they picked, this would have been the reaction though..... you can't please everyone I guess
