His ex-wives are not angry with him for being dishonest with them before the marriage, so anyone else's anger towards this subject makes no sense.
As for having 6 kids, I think that that is the very nature of many women; to marry and have as many kids as possible, to be the nurturer. When I brought up this argument 'Why did he have so many kids then ?' My mind automatically thought, 'Isn't that what most women want?

Wouldn't you be upset if you married someone and had children with them and found out one day that they want to change genders and had always wanted to but they never told you? That's called lying. His other wife found out and divorced him supposedly. I think it was unintentionally cruel of him to not tell his wives his true identity.
Kris tweeted while watching it to Perez Hilton who said something about her having no comment that she wasn't asked to comment and that she was watching it with Bruce.

It has come out now Kris was lying. Shame on her. I understand she might be embarrassed and sad. I bet it is hard. But she has known the truth for a while. Put your fake smile on and pretend nice. :? This familys priorities are so messed up.

It's fictional but it's really really good. I'm an extremely open minded person to begin with and I find it easy to see things from others perspectives but if you struggle to understand transgender perspectives then it's quite a good thing to watch. It's also really entertaining too and some of the characters are absolute gems! :D
Why would a fictious show about an older transgender man give us insight? No offense, but that's like if you watch porn for real life sex tips (don't, lol). Transparent isn't a reality show, so..?

Kris Jenner said she thought he was joking when he talked about wearing women's clothes.

He was probably trying to work through it, I mean it's a huge thing to realize your gender and sex don't match up. Cut him some slack, he was probably terrified.

And to the person who doesn't understand how you could want to BE a women and be WITH a woman. Um have you never heard of lesbians?

Hello common sense! Why is this so hard for people to comprehend lol. Bruce even explicitly stated that he's never been attracted to guys.

...yet.... he is currently in the process of taking heavy doses of estrogen. Hormones can change sexual preference. I think we will just have to wait and see.

:respekt:

I've never really looked at this thread before.. Wow, some interesting opinions going on here. Sorry, but I'm about to rant because of one or two of the comments here...

Here's the thing guys - sexual preference and gender identification are two different things. Bruce was a straight "male" i.e. He was sexually attracted to women. However Bruce, now identifies as female in gender (Cait) and has begun to physically transition her body. Her aligning her gender to female doesn't mean she needs to change her sexual preference to meet your normative expectations. There are as many lesbian trans women out there as straight. In both cases they started as the opposite.

As for those who think it was selfish to keep it hidden... That's such a simplistic, naive view. Sorry, but people aren't born with manuals on what to do if they're not society's version of "normal". Most trans people are not given the opportunity to understand their feelings or given the knowledge to understand what might be "wrong" with them. They have to internalise it and usually feel it's something they need to hide, because let's face it, being trans is still not widely accepted. Oh, there's surface acceptance, "oh it's great, thank goodness it's not my kid though"... "It's great, but how selfish were they"... The truth is they're often disliked by straight, gay, bi, black, white and whatever else because they're different. People hide it because they feel they have to, because they don't want to be that way. So they set up these lives for themselves to make them appear and hopefully eventually feel "normal". Being a celebrity sportsman, having to come out as a man trapped in a woman's body to the world... Come on, it's not like announcing a change of hair colour FFS.

And you know, non celebs have it even harder, they don't have the support of thousands of adoring fans. So reading some of the comments here and in Gigi's thread, it makes me sick, and sad for those who don't have a drop of the support or finances these two do.

Imagine that was your brother or daughter, on the brink of ending their lives because they doesn't know what the hell's going on and what they're going to do. They're sitting there reading a comment like "oh she's so selfish, how could she do that to her kids". "Ew, why would you transition to a female but still like women?". What do you think that would do to that person? What decision do you think they'd make? The one too many of them make, and that's to end their lives.

For those who are interested, I am a straight, Cis female. Of all the wonderful things my parents gave me, an open mind was the one I love the most. That's given me the opportunity to have so many wonderful friends others would shun, and sadly to see many of them suffer because of people's prejudice. And no, I don't blindly love all people. I actually can't stand Cait. Or Gigi. But I give them props for the decision they've made to transition, and I get that I can't never truely understand them because I just haven't had to do what they're doing.

It's hard for people to understand because MOST people don't have anyone close to them or even anyone they know going through this. I know little to nothing about transgendered people and all the semantics that go along with it. Just like most other people. If you have more insight on the topic or you have been around someone going through then good for you, you are more knowledgable than most on the topic. But I don't see the point in getting your panties in a bunch over people asking questions and not knowing the answer.

And no I don't understand it. And it's easy for me not to since I can't relate. I was just curious as to why someone would want to go through all that to transition and then to continue being in a relationship with a woman SINCE he's been married 3 times and he's seemingly unhappy in all of his marriages. He also never said specifically In the interview that he was strictly into women. He's also never been with a man so he has no real idea of he's into men or not. Obviously I know what a lesbian is. And I know that people like same sex individuals. That wasn't my point.
