It's an okay video, but great by Gracie's standards.
Also, I'm pretty sure you don't rip your hymen in most cases, like a bloody river as Grace stated, or otherwise (but everyone is different I suppose). It doesn't fully cover the opening, and most girls during their first time don't even have a chance to "rip it", as it has typically deterioated as they grow older. However, it can expand, but it doesn't really rip in a sense.

Idk opinion video or not, she doesn't have to be so theatric about how "gross" fluids and shit are, but it is Grace. I know it's not meant to be educating, but still, she's probably freaked out a shit ton of younger viewers who may have had doubts about it before and now, hearing how gross and unromatic/unsexy, the whole process is, have even more.

The hymen is a very damaging concept to a lot of girls before and after they have sex for the first time, as is the virginity concept, laci green did a great video on this.

The fact is, most girls WONT ever tear their hymen (or corona, as it has been attempted to be renamed in order to wipe the hymen slate clean) because it doesnt cover the vaginal opening entirely to begin with. It's a membrane, i can only compare it to the slight webbing we have between pur fingers and toes, except it is much more delicate, and many many girls are born with the opening to their vagina simply surrounded by the hymen, rather than covered by it. This membrane STRETCHES, it is not designed to be BROKEN INTO. However, it can tear, though it is not meant to.

Now, it is true that some vaginas do have a more intact hymen. In some cases, medical attention is required if the membrane is particularly covering over the vagina.

However the notion that the hymens and first time sexual intercourse should go hand in hand is a disgrace. I know girls who have been viciously shamed for not bleeding during their first time. I wish more emphasis had been put on this, rather than calling the unlikely tearing of ones corona as 'breaking your virginity'

I did not think the video was terribly problematic but I do think understanding hymens should be vital in how you present a sex q&a vidyo.

I would not consider her beautiful. I would say she is average/plain looking, but can look beautiful if she's wearing the right makeup, has her hair done properly, wears well fitted clothes not ones that are 6 sizes too small for her.

Good correction. I think I forget sometimes the amount if makeup she's wearing sometimes. If you strip that off then yes. She's definitely just average looking, but I feel like that's the thing with most ~*beauty gurus*~. A lot of them are not naturally pretty and I forget personally, until I see the beginning of a tutorial or smth and just gasp because they look so markedly different.

The fact is, in the porn industry, spunk is treated as the be all and end all. The women are shown to love it and lap it up or be seriously degraded by it. I agreee with Grace that young people are learning about sex via porn, you only have to look at the amount of sexual assaults carried out by VERY young kids as the result of mimicking scenes from pornography. I have seen the video.

I am R3 ( resident year 3) in Obstetrics and Gynecology. If she is trained in Sex education like she said, she wont have done the video the way she did.
She has a young audiance and she isnt suppose to break sex or talk about sex that way, even though she is trained. Sex is very a sensitive subject for the teens. They already feel the pressure of having sex but have the fear of whats all about and how they should be going about doing it. SHe should of put up points to talk about. Starting with protection and how important it is. Second, what is it like for real. Telling them whats going to happen. In a simple sentence and making sure she is clear what she is talking about.
All she did in this video is scaring those little teens. She made sex as this disgusting and scary thing. She made genitals are very disgusting and shouldnt be looked at, including men and women genitalia. She made bodly fluid disgusting.
To add to people who talks about the hymen, its almost never like Grace made it sound like its rivers. There is bleeding, but its a very small a mount, if her friend had alot of bleeding, it could means a lot of things and one of them is that the sex was quite rough and so bleeding can happen. Most women would have lost their hymen. Even if they come to a doctor office to check, we might have difficutly, cuz she could of lost it when she was even a little girl. ITs not important. Some girls here were talking about whats called Imperforate hymen, which can lead to something called hamtocolpus, which is blood collecting in the vagina during periods. ITs not that common.
In conclusion, all she did in this video is just scar people of sex and thats it. She shouldnt have done the video in the first place, unless she is well informed and well rounded in the subject. I wanted to comment on her video, but i did down vote it.

While sex is nowhere near as glamorous as the movies or as raunchy as porn, in the heat of the moment and when you're with someone you're really into, you're not really thinking about bodily fluids or how your body looks. Actual sex is not 100% clean, but I wouldn't call it disgusting in any situation. That's a very strong word to use for young viewers. But I think you guys are right.
