Zoomed in on her ‘office’ pic. She has a Bachelor of Arts....this is basically a generic degree that doesn’t lead to anything specific. Her in NZ a BA is commonly known as the ‘callcentre degree’.

The way it works in the states is most folks who attend a 4 year receive a bachelors degree in a specific major. I believe her degree is a BA in Communication or Public Relations or something.

BAs are common in the humanities and social sciences, natural sciences have the option of getting a BA in a science major or Bachelor of Science which requires you take more science classes, in fine arts schools sometimes you can get a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fine Arts or a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts.

Basically, Bachelor degrees are the common 4-year degree here in the states. Depending on the area of study, you can get pretty far with just a bachelors. In other areas of study, you’ll have to pursue graduate school in order to advance in your career.

Here a BA is a standalone degree, it’s known as one degree that covers a number of minor areas of study. If we want to study for a degree they’re pretty well specified, so there would be a Bachelors degree in Marketing/Communications/accounting etc.
