I don't have a problem with how much she packed because I always bring more than necessary no matter where I'm going. That way, I'm always prepared. Of course I make a list beforehand and evaluate to it to make sure I don't over do it or forget anything.
As for the acne pills, none of us know how bad her breakout was and she could have just wanted to make sure she had medicine with her when she went to Paris. Who wants to go to another country with a pizza face? I don't. Yea, she could've gone to the store and bought some acne cream. There is the possibility she wanted to be careful since that stuff will bleach your clothes, especially the collar when you take your shirt off at night or if you put the medicine on before you changed in the morning.
Like most of you, my main issue with her video was the constant name-dropping. I'm all up for beauty gurus letting us know the names of things they show in their videos, but it seems like she purposely picked all the most expensive and exclusive brands. Who knows, maybe the all Tory Burch accessories shown in the video were part of the agreement when they were gifted? I'm not saying it's right to make lots of videos solely for the purpose of advertising, but her showing all the Tory Burch accessories may have been due to a contract, not only for showing off.

Re: How to pack smart for a trip
All the acne medication makes sense considering she is that stubborn pimple on the ass of youtube.
Re: How to pack smart for a trip
I love that throughout the entire video she was acting as if she was using all these novel ideas to save space (Like travel size shampoo/conditioner... OH MY GOD. I'm so glad she told me about these magical creations).
Also, I thought it was hilarious when she was talking about looking ahead at the weather. Maybe she should have told Wendy that before she wore her pink rain boots on a perfectly sunny day?

I cant believe she took that ugly shower cap on a trip to Paris and did not know to call it a shower cap.

The shower cap was hilarious. Something I could imagine her wearing in a parking lot.

Re: How to pack smart for a trip
She said she's taking her Tory Burch wallet that Cover Girl gave her because her other wallet is beat up and she doesn't have any other wallets!?!? I don't know whether she's lying or not, since she's SUCH a hoarder and buys ten similar things at once....how can she not have bought another wallet?

Re: How to pack smart for a trip
I initially didn't want to watch this vid but I was bored so I did it. She gives me the impression that she thinks she's so smart for packing the way she does. If this is how she packs now then I'm scared of how she packs before. She says something along the lines of "yeah, i only pack one of this, one of that." Isn't that common sense? I just thought everything she said was common sense which makes me think she's really stupid. I chuckled when she tried to describe what a shower cap and razor cartridge were. "these things" LOL. I noticed she's wearing a pink bra. Her grandma top is sheer and unflattering on her. Oh god, when she was saying "on monday: cute outfit, tuesday: flats with the blah blah" I wonder if people actually do that. I just pack whatever is weather appropriate and cute but of course, I'm not a YT guru. I'm shocked she brought an inexpensive mask. I would think she'd bring some $100 mask knowing her. Sigh.

This girl is desperately running out of ideas. How to pack a suitcase for a trip? Yeah Dulce, because none of us have ever packed sh*t into a suitcase before.... I think this video was made, firstly, for a quick way to make more Youtube cash and secondly, to show off all her new name-brand items (hence all the name-dropping).
It will be interesting to see what happens when the day comes that people begin to open their eyes and this chick's Youtube numbers start dwindling and she is no longer able to keep up the illusion of this "rich lifestyle." Her videos are bound to be even more desperate and comical then!

Yeah, I'd really take advice from someone who cannot even write using proper adjectives.
You're the last person who should talk about SMARTLY doing anything.

Re: How to pack smart for a trip
This video should have been called "Name Dropping 101". At some point in the video I was wondering when the name dropping would cease and the packing tips would begin, but nothing.
I don't understand her choice in hair styles - leaving a strand of hair loose on each side emphasizes her huge sideburns
I call bullshit on her acne story - you CANNOT get your eyebrows threaded and get an appointment with a SPECIALIST within a few days. I have skin problems and from my experience, scheduling appointments in different cities AND in different countries with multiple dermatologists, getting an appointment with a specialist within a few days is IMPOSSIBLE. It takes a few months to a year, depending on where the derm practices. In a city as big as LA, I expect waiting time to be anywhere from 6 months to over a year.
I also call her bullshit on stating this video was made before she was gone - she is known to read GG and she somehow managed to answer our questions ahead of time about her not taking her son and husband?
Even with higher quality clothes, she still sucks at dressing! How does she manage to fuck up every outfit so well?!
No more comments, as I X-ed out after the 50th brand name she mentioned

Re: How to pack smart for a trip
That's not true. For some (like neurologists) that might be right, but here you don't have to wait more than one or two weeks to get an appointment at a dermatologist.Lolita27 wrote: I have skin problems and from my experience, scheduling appointments in different cities AND in different countries with multiple dermatologists, getting an appointment with a specialist within a few days is IMPOSSIBLE. I'd rather drink a cup of acid after chewing on a razor blade.
Re: How to pack smart for a trip
And what do you base your comment on? Experience? Statistics? Being a derm? Maybe L.A. specifically has an overabundance of dermatologists, which would make this an exception, but I've been to dermatologists more than enough times since I was 3 (in different areas - small and huge) to know from experience that you CANNOT go see the dermatologist a few days after booking an appointment. It just doesn't work that way. My shortest waiting time was just over a month, and the longest was a year and a half. Maybe Dulce has gotten lucky the one time she has ever gone to a derm, but knowing her track record of lying, I doubt it's the case. I realize that speaking from experience has less of a weight than statistics (which btw say that the average waiting time for a dermatologist is 55 (32 & 78) days in the U.S.) or, hell, being a dermatologist, but don't go discounting people's comments without sourcing your knowledge.dazzle wrote:That's not true. Re: How to pack smart for a trip
^^ You know I love you, Lolita, but I gotta agree with dazzle on this one. Based on your comment it seems like you've been to a dermatologist more than both of us, but I've been maybe 3 or 4 times in my life and none of those appointments took more than 2 or 3 weeks (I've been to dermatologists in NY, VA and SD). Do you think it could be the time of year you scheduled those appointments? More than 4 weeks of wait time (unless it's a scheduled "check up") sounds a little questionable.
My dad practices cardiology but is also boarded in neurology, and I don't recall any scheduled appointment of his taking an entire YEAR unless it was a check up like I mentioned earlier. My mom's a psychiatrist and when she's mentioned the appointments she has, she never had to schedule anything further than 3-4 weeks unless a patient specified it. Lolita, maybe it's an insurance issue or something?

Re: How to pack smart for a trip
Maybe it's my luck lol. I gotta find some new derms! My mom is a psychiatrist too btw, and she has to book people for 4-6 months in advance because she's so booked up That's really weird.Rauri wrote:^^ You know I love you, Lolita, but I gotta agree with dazzle on this one.
