I hate that I’ve been so invested in this visa situation, like girl ... just say it. we’ve been waiting. i have always watched her (since her blue room in toronto) and in some way, rooted for her because I saw a lot of my younger self in her bug-eyed, dreamy personality. I will admit that over the years, it’s gotten harder and harder to support her through the entitled whining and horrifyingly flippant attitude.

and tara, if you’re reading this (which I suspect that you are) — if you end up getting “stuck” at home for any length of time, embrace it. write about it. spend some quality time with yourself and your goals. keep speaking to your therapist. understand that, even if it was your childhood ~dream to live in LA on a lettered list, it might not be your reality. and that’s okay. you will recover and your life will still be fulfilling, if you choose to make it so. and if your visa is approved, use this life scare as a reality check — start thinking about ways you CAN make your time in the USA more permanent. start a company. go back to school. study business and finance. everyone can benefit from education and there are so many subjects that help a person in their real, every day life. yes, even you tara.

if you want to make something of a life in los angeles, you need to figure out something else to pursue and you need to do it quickly. it doesn’t mean quitting social media or influencer marketing, it just means branching out. how about in 5 years, you’re the CEO of an agency because you used this down time and made a plan? THAT is the kind of aspiration and achievement that immigration want to see from first-world migrants. and you have the built in help (your dad) and probably the funds to do something like this.

Ughhhhhh, what I would do with the time and money that you have!

Just watched her new video. Tara was denied for a talent visa (talent where?), but was approved for a business visa. It is good for the next 5 years apparently. I wonder how much $$$ she had to drop on an immigration lawyer to get the visa. I’m guessing at least 30 grand.

I submitted a question and of course it didn’t get answered. But it was pretty much why she didn’t think she could have a life in Toronto. Kayln Nicholson still does work in the US when she needs to, but still lives in Canada. Same with Lauren, and the other Canadian YouTubers, it’s convenient yes but
