Re: Melanie “ME, ME, MEEEE!” Murphy - Part 3
Can we talk about the fact that Melanie is doing a paid promotion with Teami in her recent video? A company that sells detox tea and were recently fined a million dollars for false health claims and undisclosed influencer sponsorships?

Re: Melanie “ME, ME, MEEEE!” Murphy - Part 3
She's done some questionable sponsorships in the past so this isn't surprising. She consistently shows that she has no integrity and only cares about money. I bet if anyone points it out to her she'll have a meltdown on SM and cry about hows she's got a baby coming and needs to save for a house so its her right to rep scummy brands, how dare anyone judge her!

Literally! On top of this, she has a history of ED which she talks about on her channel as well as an audience of young viewers! I commented how problematic Teami is on her latest video but somehow it's had no engagement... Hmmm. It's a case of Melanie Money Money Money (no) Morals Murphy!witchpaws wrote: ↑Tue Apr 28, 2020 3:42 pmShe's done some questionable sponsorships in the past so this isn't surprising. I get she wants that baby bump to really pop out, but I cant help but feel in her photos she is really pushing her belly and arching her back to make the bump look even more pronounced than it really is...

Of course she is she has to get that engagement somehow. She's what 17-18 weeks pregnant? She's not going to be that big yet, if at all. I'm due in 5 weeks and I just look a bit bloated still.WetsyBoopLoop wrote: ↑Wed Apr 29, 2020 8:14 amI get she wants that baby bump to really pop out, but I cant help but feel in her photos she is really pushing her belly and arching her back to make the bump look even more pronounced than it really is...
As for the morally dodgy ads. She'll see it as she has a baby to provide for, which is true. But if she was as secure in her "6 figures" as she has previously claimed to be, then she wouldn't be that worried financially. If she called a spade a spade and said she doesn't care, then I'd have a bit more respect for her. But that will never happen.

Why would she promote these kind of shady ~wellness~ teas as a pregnant woman who was so concerned about miscarrying?Whatsthetea33 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 28, 2020 7:26 amCan we talk about the fact that Melanie is doing a paid promotion with Teami in her recent video? Re: Melanie “ME, ME, MEEEE!” Murphy - Part 3
Re the last paragraph - exactly, and on one hand she's going on about the baby and the mortgage and Thomas maybe losing his job to justify her dodgy spons and lack of morals, but then she's going on about books and games consoles she's buying, dropping hundreds on skincare... It just doesn't add up.chinese_whispers wrote: ↑Wed Apr 29, 2020 9:48 amOf course she is she has to get that engagement somehow. She's what 17-18 weeks pregnant? Re: Melanie “ME, ME, MEEEE!” Murphy - Part 3
She's just an idiot with money lol. I'm not saying she has to live a completely barren life, but she's never going to be able to afford a home with her habits. People who make significantly less than her ~six figures~ are able to save up for a home by years of careful budgeting and restricting their lifestyles. She wants everything. A five-figure wedding, a four-figure coat, hundreds of bucks worth of skincare every month, expensive "non alcoholic wine" (ffs just save money and buy grape juice or sparkling water), tons of video games, etc etc. Also you can tell that she has probably never given a shit about money or saving or buying a home until maybe the last year when she and Thomas decided to settle down. Otherwise she would have been able to save so much more by now. And watch her start blowing money on lots of random unnecessary shit for the baby just to be a trendy hip Insta mom.bcfc999 wrote: ↑Sat May 02, 2020 10:59 amRe the last paragraph - exactly, and on one hand she's going on about the baby and the mortgage and Thomas maybe losing his job to justify her dodgy spons and lack of morals, but then she's going on about books and games consoles she's buying, dropping hundreds on skincare... Re: Melanie “ME, ME, MEEEE!” Murphy - Part 3
Completely agree.
I'm on nowhere near Melanie's "6 figure salary" yet me and my partner got a mortgage. We saved hard for 2 years and moved back in with parents but we got there in the end. Banks were very happy to lend to us as we has shown we could save and be sensible with money. And we both have stable jobs in well established industries.
She's going to be a long time in that attic with her failing YouTube channel. He'll likely lose his job too with Aer Lingus struggling, first in first out I'd imagine. She won't have that pilot money to fall back on!

She was so dramatic and she was complaining so much about that coat but to be fair that was a pretty lovely coat. Why couldn't she wear it more?mumkinpo wrote: ↑ Our mortgage queen bought too many thousand pound coats and now is desperate for cash to buy a home
I think she just got it in the wrong size. It was a lovely Burberry red coat, brand new, she could have sold it on Depop for at least 450 pounds since she kept it in very good conditions.
Pardon my typos, I have a rubbish keyboard.

Just goes to show she should've been grateful because she thought she had it hard not being able to get the mortgage she wants and poof now her 6 figure income is in jeopardy along with her husbands job prospects (for a while anyway)
Re: Melanie “ME, ME, MEEEE!” Murphy - Part 3
Also how does her husband have no savings to contribute to a down payment? What’s he been doing for the past 10 years, just dicking around?snapglitter wrote: ↑Mon May 11, 2020 2:58 amJust goes to show she should've been grateful because she thought she had it hard not being able to get the mortgage she wants and poof now her 6 figure income is in jeopardy along with her husbands job prospects (for a while anyway)hellohappiness wrote: ↑Tue May 05, 2020 6:51 amCompletely agree.

Re: Melanie “ME, ME, MEEEE!” Murphy - Part 3
For me the weirdest thing about mortgagegate was the fact she thought it'd be relatable. She was all "omg guyz the market is soooo fucked, I can't even buy a house on my six figures" and was surprised when people reacted badly. She really has no clue.
Re: Melanie “ME, ME, MEEEE!” Murphy - Part 3
She wasn't even trying to be relatable. She was trying to incite fear by saying "if I can't get a mortgage then neither can anyone of you poor fucks."
She's wrong because
1) Many people are smarter than her with saving and don't buy thousand pound coats when they want to buy a home
2) Most people have more stable jobs
3) Most people are willing to settle on things like location, house size, etc to get a good deal
4) Most people who buy with partners aren't buying with partners who have nothing to contribute

Anyone see the picture of her and her husband for his birthday? He's grown a mustache at her request... seriously gay vibes from that man. The low cut vest top he's wearing, the mustache, the hairy chest on display. He's looking more and more like a member of the Village People with every passing day!

His birthday that she tried to make all about herself you mean? #19weekspregnant I don’t know which is worse, the terrible moustache or his very obviously already receding hairline?
If there was a function on insta to mark all her book regrams as spam I would be using it at this stage, I swear to god if I see one more book or fabletic shill from her I may explode.
Also: just cut your hair if you want Melanie, stop using it as a ploy for attention on instagram, nobody cares!!
Knowing irish houses- I’d hate to be them living up in the attic come summer time too. Heat rises and anybody I knew who had an attic bedroom melted in it all summer. And don’t get me started on the weirdness of putting in a toilet behind the bed- wtf?

Re: Melanie “ME, ME, MEEEE!” Murphy - Part 3
Yeah I know, I completely agree - her excuse though was that she thought it'd be relatable as "everyone is struggling" I really do question the six figure salary and even if it were true, the fact it was an unstable income with it being influencer-based (which I think is the reason she was rejected - because it was an unstable income and a very high amount she requested) would have had anyone sensible saving as much as they could! Personally I would've taken the smaller amount and settled for a less-ideal house - bet she's wishing she had now she's having to try and sell her current sitch (baby on the way, living in in-laws' attic) as the dream setup. Either way, the fact she's now promoting the f out of her book (and hoping that everyone ignores her expensive purchases) really calls that into question. It's no secret that she lies, but you'd think she would make more of an effort to keep them consistent.mumkinpo wrote:Tue May 12, 2020 11:41 amShe wasn't even trying to be relatable.
