that’s hilarious that that happened. she definitely has been dodging it but it’s so not a big deal especially at that age. she showed their closet in a video this summer that clearly had griffin’s stuff in it. even if they aren’t going to be sharing a room in the fall, she should at least just be straight up about whatever the answer is. maybe it’s because that mystery is one of the only interesting things about her videos. only so many times she can answer the same question about if she’s getting her masters and where she wants to live after college.kdoggy2delete wrote: ↑Mon Jul 22, 2019 2:55 pmShe's been dodging that question all summer, which is so weird bc who cares if you're sharing a room but why try and hide it? I hate all of the weird religious youtubers who are trying to put on this weird act about their personal lives. Not all that long ago, Abby uploaded the wrong video lol and it was just 10 minutes of her face-timing her friend making crass jokes, swearing, talking about who her friend was fucking at the time. Basically normal college gossip. I totally understand putting a more polished version of yourself online, but to change yourself completely sucks.aylee wrote: ↑ I don't watch her videos anymore, but did she say specifically she was going to sleep separate? She might just be setting it up like a guest bedroom/filming space/office. I imagine she's probably like some space of her own for youtube/studying, esp since he's so obnoxious when she's filming.

Re: Abby Asselin
She's so boring! I try to watch her videos but her monotone whispering gets on my nerves.
Re: Abby Asselin
i really wish she wouldn’t vlog when she’s sick or at least be more cautious of it. first of all it’s boring content second of all HER SPIT IN HER MOUTH there was a solid 30 seconds in one video where all i could focus on was the spit strings forming every time she talked.

Re: Abby Asselin
I haven't had the patience to watch her videos since June because they get increasingly boring during the summer, but I was taken aback when I saw she was now moving in with Griffin?? When school ended in May I was under the impression that she had leased an apartment with a female friend of hers? I know there was a sprinkling of comments here a few weeks ago questioning her living situation with him, whether they slept in the same room/bed, etc but that was in Texas and only for the summer. Can someone fill me in?

Re: Abby Asselin
I'm pretty sure she and Griffin had been planning to live together next year for a long time. She mentioned touring places in Tuscaloosa for them earlier this year. Her roommate from the previous two (or three?) years transferred schools.youtube_obsessed843 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 14, 2019 5:38 pmI haven't had the patience to watch her videos since June because they get increasingly boring during the summer, but I was taken aback when I saw she was now moving in with Griffin?? Related: does anyone else find it completely bizarre that her roommate was NEVER in her videos? I know not everyone wants a camera in their face, but it seemed like she was never even in the kitchen or living room when Abby was. Abby never even mentioned her name. Seems odd that you could live with someone for multiple years and they would never walk in the kitchen during a montage or pop in to say hi while filming a clip.

I can't believe she put together a plate of chips, grapes, and pita with deli meat and then proudly announced that she "hasn't had a really good homemade lunch in a while." is this really her idea of ~homemade~????

I literally laughed out loud when I watched that part. I don't think she knows what homemade food is besides pale looking chicken and plain onions fried in oil for dinner. Also, for someone who claims to be so healthy she really eats a lot of processed food.larkspurlurker wrote: ↑Thu Aug 15, 2019 6:45 pmI can't believe she put together a plate of chips, grapes, and pita with deli meat and then proudly announced that she "hasn't had a really good homemade lunch in a while." is this really her idea of ~homemade~????

I laughed out loud too!!! And yes, she doesn't seem particularly interested in eating whole/unprocessed food. She clearly prioritizes labels like low fat/sugar-free/etc over fresh food.youtube_obsessed843 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 16, 2019 5:06 amI literally laughed out loud when I watched that part. Also, what's with all these youtubers buying air fryers lately? I've never used one, but I don't get the impression it's particularly healthy? IDK. Abby is weird.

Her obsession with something have sugar or not is almost bizarre to me at this point bc like you said, it's not like she's interested in eating actual healthy foods.larkspurlurker wrote: ↑Fri Aug 16, 2019 8:04 amI laughed out loud too!!! ALSO, Idk if its "healthier" to cook things in an air fryer but MY GOD is it easier. lol I made roasted potatoes in one the other day and it took 20 minutes and they were PERFECT/so much easier than using an oven.

Re: Abby Asselin
Her idea of what is healthy and what isn't is extremely backwards. Just because fruit contains a lot of sugar, doesn't mean it's unhealthy. It's NATURAL sugar. She needs to stop going off of her made up diet and talk to a nutrionist. I find it bizarre that she won't eat certain foods because of their supposed nutritional value (or lack thereof) but will coat her chicken breast in ritz crackers, which are arguably the most unhealthy, processed, made of absolutely nothing crackers someone can buy. How about panko bread crumbs or crumbled fiber crackers? She's such a hypocrite claiming to be healthy and yet still buying something as basic as ritz crackers.trashtalk_77 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 16, 2019 6:32 pmHer obsession with something have sugar or not is almost bizarre to me at this point bc like you said, it's not like she's interested in eating actual healthy foods.larkspurlurker wrote: ↑Fri Aug 16, 2019 8:04 amI laughed out loud too!!! Thought her rant on teachers in her latest vlog was pretty funny considering she's a republican.

I don't know why she insists on vlogging when she's sick. No one wants to hear her croak or watch her drag herself around. No one is clamoring for your boring ass vlogs like that.

Re: Abby Asselin
She posts so frequently too - she can afford to take a week off filming and still post some of the videos in her 'queue.' We can handle one video a week instead of three, Abby.RachelRatface wrote: ↑Tue Oct 01, 2019 6:49 amI don't know why she insists on vlogging when she's sick. And am I being super unsympathetic or did she make wayyyy too big a deal of having a rat in the kitchen? She didn't feel SAFE there? What's it going to do, come back and kill you from the grave?

I agree that she was being so dramatic about the rat. Wanting to move out of a house, staying in a hotel, and sleeping on the couch, because of one rat is insane. Her body image/eating issues are so apparent recently too

Re: Abby Asselin
I think Abby should have waited/gotten her shit together when it came to making her podcast available on multiple platforms. It's literally only on Spotify. She even put text in her video today that she would update everyone in the event that it became available on more platforms. Poor marketing, if you ask me. I have no idea whether she works with a talent management company and haven't bothered to check, but isn't that something they would cover?? I follow an equestrian lifestyle podcast called Amateur Hour and they have a significantly smaller audience base in a veryyy specific field/sport and even that is available on Apple Music. It makes me wonder if maybe Abby didn't want to pay the fees associated with certain streaming platforms?

Re: Abby Asselin
Ya wtf did she want out of that situation. The landlord hired pest control and killed the rat. What happens when she owns her own home and ends up with a rat? Are you supposed to pack up your entire life and find a new ratless house?leopardmuffin wrote: ↑Tue Oct 01, 2019 1:03 pmI agree that she was being so dramatic about the rat. Re: Abby Asselin
She definitely should have waited. It makes no sense. She didn't even dedicate a video to announcing the pod ON THE DAY IT WAS ANNOUNCED but instead waited several days to include the info in a 20-minute vlog. She's been with The Socialable Society for 7/8 months. I think they also manage Madi Westbrooke, Katie Horan, and LipsticksandLattes. They clearly didn't do a great job on this.youtube_obsessed843 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 02, 2019 7:28 pmI think Abby should have waited/gotten her shit together when it came to making her podcast available on multiple platforms. Either way, WHY is every Youtuber and their mother deciding to create a podcast these days? Lily Rakow is too (she annoys me probably just as much as Abby). Abby talks for probably 40+ minutes a week in her vlogs anyway, why do we need a podcast of that? What content do you REALLY have to offer that isn't already in existence? I'm so over it.

Re: Abby Asselin
My first reaction to Abby starting a podcast was 'what in the world is she going to talk about.' She is clearly doing it just because everyone else is. She is still well under 100K on YouTube. Out of those people, how many do you think have actually committed to watching her or enjoy watching her on a regular basis? Probably not many. More importantly, I don't associate Abby with the label of 'lifestyle vlogger' which she's been trying so hard to be for a while now. I don't watch her because I care about a 21st birthday vlog or an Alabama football game. It's more for the school/homework/get productive/get organized content and I think a lot of others would agree. She admitted in a vlog back in April or May that she knew a lot of people would be tuning out for the summer because there wasn't going to be school-related content for a good 3 months. She is part of a relatively small niche of youtubers that can get away with being boring and still actually have views. She should play to those strengths instead of trying to be like everyone else.larkspurlurker wrote: ↑Thu Oct 03, 2019 1:20 pmShe definitely should have waited. It makes no sense. In regard to the podcast, I won't be listening because I already find Abby childish in many ways. She is overdramatic (the rat situation, her level of 'stress'), has odd/misinformed views on food, excersize and dieting habits, is small minded and not worldly (nor does she try to make herself worldly) and portrays herself as this holier-than-thou adult when she knows absolutely nothing about being an adult. For god sakes she wont eat chicken unless it's cut up into pieces.

Re: Abby Asselin
Does anyone else think that Abby gets sick all the time because she is legitimately malnourished? Smoothie bowls are a treat NOT something you can have for every meal!!!
