Decorating Bedroom Help

Post by clandestine » Sun Feb 24, 2013 7:00 am

I have the Ikea Lilliesand bedframe, a black vintage styled metal frame. But I am interested in the Malm dressing table also. I know I could paint it black but I like the way it looks white. Do you think a black bed frame with white furniture would look right/good?

I don't see why not. Black and white go well together, and the bedframe is thin and narrow while the desk is pretty solid, so their styles will differentiate them as well and make them complementary rather than having to match. It also depends what other furniture and colors you have in the room. Actually a lot of times it doesn't look right for all of your furniture to be the same color scheme or shade of wood, because it makes it look too uniform. It's good to have some variety.

I think that black and white are perfectly combined with each other. But you need to carefully pick up other colors in your bedroom. For example, warm shades are hardly suitable for cool white and black. In any case, to make your bedroom more comfortable and cozier, you can use other elements of decor. I really like bright colors, but this is not at all suitable for the bedroom, so I try to choose bedding, pillows and a bedspread in neutral pastel colors. I also have a set of bed linen for winter and for summer. For example, here comfortersetreviews are many helpful tips on how to choose a good blanket for the summer. It's these little things that create coziness and comfort in your home.
