Haha she wishes she is a size 10! I'm a UK 10 and I look slimmer than she does in all the angles her arms are huge!NadzyP wrote:First post here... in which universe is she petite? She's absolutely average size 10 from what I can see

Re: HelloOctoberxo
wow if she's petite with her imaginary size chart, then you must be the size of Santas little helpers with your UK 10TTGirl wrote:Haha she wishes she is a size 10! No, seriously, if she really thinks she's that small, how small are you with your normal size or even smaller people than her?
I'm 172 cm high and wear the UK size 8. I must be just a lollipop to her. Skinny body with a big head

Re: HelloOctoberxo
To be fair in the UK 'petite' does me short rather than build in terms of clothes shops. You can get petite size 4/6 but also right up to petite 12/14/16 etcDollyMixture wrote:Susie doesn't know what petite means, she thinks it is a polite synonym for being a short arse when really it describes an actual build.
The petite just refers to 5"3 and under.

Re: HelloOctoberxo
I understand but high street retailers have turned "petite" into a marketing term, having a "short" section isn't as universally customer friendly as having a "petite" section but the word itself refers to a small, dainty build. You might wear petite length jeans because you're under 5"3 or like a more cropped style (I do) but you might not really be able to be described as being petite which is what i mean about Suzie not knowing what it really meanshana.bananals wrote:To be fair in the UK 'petite' does me short rather than build in terms of clothes shops. Oh. I had no idea because I don't follow them. They all look the same. RIP individuality.
Re: HelloOctoberxo
"Petite" just means small, in the UK this is used by clothing brands to refer to people usually 5 ft 3 and under, it has little to do with having a "dainty" build.DollyMixture wrote:I understand but high street retailers have turned "petite" into a marketing term, having a "short" section isn't as universally customer friendly as having a "petite" section but the word itself refers to a small, dainty build.
