So what's stopping her? She wants to make her place look nice, sure I get that. But it's for what, the background? Her backgrounds are just quite plain and overexposed so everything looks whiter. Can't be hard to find a white wall in her flat...
Or is it just to get her creative juices flowing because it can't be that hard to come up with the same makeup look again.

Re: Lucy Moon / meowitslucy Part 2
This is the problem with being a lifestyle vlogger who's lifestyle isn't either:
a) Relatable and comparible to the average girl her age, and feel genuine
Or
b) interesting and different enough to be an icon who's entertaining e.g. Casey Neistat
Lucy's at an awkward in between where she wants to be this cool, edgy, Rich White Girl in London vlogger, but doesn't actually *do* anything all day.

She also felt uninspired in her old room. She feels "disassociated" about showing her face on camera. Why use a medical term that is a pretty horrible illness? She is also reading a morning routine book to help herself create one.
She is that girl who buys all the binders, pencils and highlighters for school and then doesn't do the homework.
I don't understand how she is still able to buy all the shit she buys, the expensive food, the make up brands and to pay rent when she isnt doing her job at all.

Hannah Witton said before in a video with Lucy that she thought Lucy was so organised and had all her shit together when she first met her then as they started working together on projects she realised how wrong she was.
Lucy did a number of things for Hannah. Like her intro for the hormone diaries. Wonder if Lucy was super unreliable on deadlines?
Idk i'm torn. Like obviously not everyone is gonna have their shit together all the time but damn it's bizarre to watch this girl basically not turn up for work and then just watch her buying things.

Re: Lucy Moon / meowitslucy Part 2
I swear to God I think she should get tested for ADHD. It runs in families and her sister has it. Her chronic disorganisation, her inability to stick to routine (the only people I know who struggle to follow a morning routine are people with ADHD - I had to write mine down on a piece of paper haha. It seems pretty simple that you wake up, get dressed, wash your face etc. but to the ADHD brain it's really not that easy). I'd like to know if she's actually even listening during the sunday socials, cause she looks glazed over, which is exactly how I am without my meds.
She thinks the way she lives is totally normal because she works for herself. Newsflash: it isn't. Waking up till noon isn't a normal thing to do, not having a morning routine isn't a normal thing, being so disorganised you're late to everything and miss deadlines and people comment on it (Hannah) ISN'T NORMAL.

Re: Lucy Moon / meowitslucy Part 2
according to her insta story she was "so excited to get back into filming today but woke up with a raging sore throat"
So she's gonna write some blog posts instead...
would do her some bloody good. Her rate of blogging lately has been one blog post a month. Considering her blog posts aren't exactly lengthy essays and any think piece she's put up on there has about the same depth as a puddle I don't reallly see what takes quite so long with them.
She was writing one on toxic friendships but then I guess decided not to publish? She shared a lot about her shitty ex-friends from before on her youtube channel though? like in her alcohol video.
Don't forget, according to her blog post ideas from her BuJo vid, at some point over the next year we might see such delights as:
- The films inspiring my style this summer
- You don't have to know exactly what your style is – ever
- What it means to dress like a british woman
- Why are we so obsessed with french skin care?
- English rose highstreet beauty favourites
- the lowdown on every glossier product i've tried.
- Bold lips are bringing me out of my shell: on confidence
- "looking like you came straight out of the womb with glossy face" stuff.
There was also a lot of GF related stuff in the lifestyle section.
p.s. As a side note, if you wanna look at all the stuff she likes the look of clothes/fashion wise check the shop section on her blog. I think initially it was a "shop my wardrobe" kind of thing but now I think it's just stuff she would buy but it makes for a fairly interesting scroll. It's an affiliate link minefield though so I wouldn't click through to anything if you're trying to be careful of stuff like that.
She stans a lot of f*** ugly trainers on there. I saw Nike Huaraches and that was all i needed to know haha

Re: Lucy Moon / meowitslucy Part 2
I know that I rag on Lucy a lot for her lack of uploads and constant excuses but still, if that is true she's just become the little girl who cried wolf at this point.HaveSomeMilk wrote:according to her insta story she was "so excited to get back into filming today but woke up with a raging sore throat"
And if she is ill as often as she claims, might I suggest that perhaps going out to gigs/parties multiple times a week, staying up all hours and eating rubbish just might be the culprit?
But seriously, her commitment as a "full time influencer" is a pitiful one video a week (usually low quality) and one blog post a week and she can't even manage that.

Her hair is looking so horrid lately. She should go back to a brunette lob because those blonde tips really wash her out and her hair overall looks fried and shapeless.

Let me guess: "sorry guys, (I DID EDIT IT, I DID SOME WORK, LOOK!!!) I didn't like the aesthetic of this 168 hours, it didn't fit with my theme or branding so no 168 this month, sorry guys. I have a GREAT GRWM with glossier coming up though!"Scalicianical wrote:Didn't she show a clip on her IG stories of her editing a 168hrs video a week or so ago?

Why not do this in the evening? With friends? With an actual sleepover? In fact, she should've done a livestream. That would at least be original.
But I forget. No original brain cell in her body.

Re: Lucy Moon / meowitslucy Part 2
Am I the only one who got annoyed that she got the lower fee from the therapist? I've worked with private therapists, and they do offer a lower fee to people who can't afford it, and then those who really can't afford it have to stick with the NHS, but surely Lucy can afford it? She mentions £65 a session is too expensive for people on the London living wage, yeah Lucy, but you're not? You have brand deals with Glossier and various other companies? I'm not saying I know what she earns and so on, but still. She then compared it to paying to have your teeth cleaned, which reminded me of when Alfie Deyes talked about his experience with a therapist and how it's good for maintenance of overall health- I don't disagree, but a bit shady to fight for the lower price point when other people need that more than you.
Re: Lucy Moon / meowitslucy Part 2
this really rubbed me the wrong way as well. lucy said herself that her therapist only had a certain number of people they could take for a lower price, and I’m sure there were people who made way less than lucy that could’ve really benefitted from paying less. I’m pretty sure she was still buying tons of clothes (for her capsule wardrobe ), expensive makeup, and was going to concerts pretty frequently at the time of her supposed “need” for cheaper therapy. plus she could’ve pretty easily increased her income by just doing her job and uploading videos regularly. really not sure how she could take that reduced price while not feeling guilty.ytfanxo wrote:Am I the only one who got annoyed that she got the lower fee from the therapist? Re: Lucy Moon / meowitslucy Part 2
I didnt have the time to wait, says the white girl supported by her parents who is neither suicidal nor depressed but a bit anxious over a break up.
Mental health issues are a spectrum. I don’t want to shit on anyone’s troubles. If you can’t get over a break up or if you got borderline personality disorder, you both deserve the help and care you need. All personal problems matter the same. I basically want everyone to go to therapy because it IS HELPFUL to become a better person and to deal with anything you have to deal with.
However, I hate this „fighting against the stigma“ youtubers who barely dipped their feet into real depression and treat therapy like a massage you get once in a while to get better. How come that not one of them mentions what hard work therapy can be? Because they don’t do the work. They don’t take responsibility for their health. Lucy is still drinking and throwing up in trash cans, sleeping in late. Dodie never stopped drinking for more than a month. Lucy doesn’t even know what form of therapy she received, what the actual fuck. She just went there once a week to talk about her feelings and be told that she is doing okay. Which is fine but don't make this out to be the only therapy experience there is on earth.
And I bet her whole „I did so much work, I deserve a break you guys“ talk comes from therapy. Because it’s pretty easy to learn to love everything about yourself, even the negative things. What’s way harder is being able to criticize yourself and changing things that are going wrong accordingly without using that criticism to hate yourself. That’s the hard part.
By the way Lucy, I do remember who told you that you can haggle down the price if you are in desperate need (which you weren’t or you would have started working 2 jobs): Rosianna Halse Rojas who is struggling with a chronic form of depression talked about it in a video. And she was way more serious and honest about the topic than you were. She is a person from whom you can tell that she is fighting an ongoing fight with pretty serious mental health issues. I always compare the two here because they are pretty similiar in their interests but only one of them sucks ass.
Sorry for the rant but I hate this fucking self care industry so much. It’s mainstreaming „having a tough time“ into „being depressed“ and people like Lucy are a huge part of the problem. She wouldn't able to live through one day of other people's struggles.

Yes to all this. It sounds horrible, but I'd love to see her get a dose of how life can really affect and change your life and see how she reacts to it. Maybe she wouldn't complain about being "tired" she is when in reality, she just can't be bothered or is hungover.HippoFriend wrote:I didnt have the time to wait, says the white girl supported by her parents who is neither suicidal nor depressed but a bit anxious over a break up.

I mean look at Hannah Witton; she has a stoma and still manages to adapt her work to fit her new lifestyle.
