On the one hand you couldn't pay me enough to go wait in the blistering heat to meet a fucking YOUTUBER, and I think it's dumb to demand refunds for travel/flight expenses because you made that decision to travel for that dumb shit anyway. But the tickets? Those ABSOLUTELY should be refunded. Like, why is there even a question of whether or not it will happen? That's super shady business practice if they aren't going to refund anything.

When Pokémon Go Fest failed last year they had to reimburse travel expenses. I think with these 1 off festivals they do it because there was an understanding upon buying the ticket that your time in that location would be at the event. It isn’t like a concert where it’s only a couple hours. You make a dedicated trip to spend several days doing one thing and that doesn’t happen. People traveled all the way to Anaheim to spend 2 full days at this convention, and most didn’t get in at all. People also had physical/emotional hardships because of it (heat and stress/anger/sadness/etc).

Because her ignoring the problem is almost worse than Tanacon being such a mess. Even if people are arguing that she couldn't control what happened with Tanacon, there is no excuse for not updating her fans. Her last tweet is literally from yesterday, and it says that she was looking for a new venue and getting more security for today. She hasn't updated anyone since, except for the few fans that she's seen in person. Like... I honestly don't know how she thinks that's okay. Even if she doesn't give a fuck about her fans, at least PRETEND to so you don't look so bad. She let her own event go to shit and went on with the rest of her weekend like nothing happened.
